I love FOSS. I'm currently running a Debian based distro on an old Dell I got for $30 at a ham radio swap meet. I'm waiting for a Lenovo that's loaded with windows 10 that I might be putting Fedora on. I haven't used Fedora in years. However David Revoy, a fantasy artist that uses FOSS, suggested a similar setup for using Krita. If anyone can suggest a better distro for digital painting I'm all ears.

I only have my technician license myself. My call sign is KF5FMB if you want to look me up.

I used to run Mint. It's one of my favs. I ran Manjaro for a while until my laptop's hard drive failed. My first two distros were SUSE and Red hat. This was back when Red hat had a free version and SUSE was separate from Novell. I've tried crunch bang, Ubuntu and several other Debian based distros. I'm running Alma on a small vps.

With all this dabbling one would think that I have more admin experience than I do. The truth is that I keep having to look up the same commands over and over again because my memory is about as reliable as a Zip drive, if anyone is old enough to remember what those are.

Crunch Bang lives! Someone forked it to Bunsenlabs Linux. OpenBox forever!

AntiX Linux: "proudly anti-fascist." That's not my line. That's what they used in their own page header.

I took a look at it. I think puppy Linux did it better.
