2Cor3:6
Paul was addressing the ministry of apostles
the Spirit revealed the Gospel through them
it didnt originate with them v5
2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
many today look down on doctrine.

Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
continued stedfastly in…. Doctrine the apostles gave…
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
doctrine that is inspired, from God, makes complete
1 Timothy 1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
1 Timothy 1:11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
sound doctrine = glorious gospel that Paul taught
I don’t disagree, scripture is core scripture is primary. Nothing coming from Holy Spirit today will trump what is written. But it would appear there is more available.
““My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
John 17:20-23 NIV
Clearly Jesus wants the believers even of today to understand that the goal is spiritual unity with Father, Son in this age via spiritual maturity knowing we have Holy Spirit in us.
My understanding is that we accomplish this maturity
by abiding in Christ and seeking to move beyond the elementary teaching of the faith. Which the elementary teaching is.
“ Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.”
Hebrews 5:12-14 NIV
Just how would we distinguish Good from evil? It has to be revealed by Holy Spirit. Walking in a dynamic conversational intimacy with God to my understanding.
“Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so. It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.”
Hebrews 6:1-5, 12 NIV
