The Douay–Rheims Bible, also known as the Douay–Rheims Version, Rheims–Douai Bible or Douai Bible,
and abbreviated as D–R, DRB, and DRV, is a translation of the Bible from the Latin Vulgate into English
made by members of the English College, Douai, in the service of the Catholic Church. It states in Tobit 4.11~

For alms deliver from all sin, and from death, and will not suffer the soul to go into darkness.

Tobit 12:9 For alms delivereth from death, and the same is that which
purgeth away sins, and maketh to find mercy and life everlasting.
Yeah, I know Douay-Rheims. Douay Old Testament, Rheims New Testament (Rheims, France). It was a significant translation at the time it was done. Wasn't it the first English Catholic Bible?

I don't know which was the first Catholic Bible. I did read from the New Jerusalem Bible (or was it just the Jerusalem Bible?)
when I was in a study group where each read a different translation so we could compare differences. We even found errors.

My search engine says: DouayRheims Bible ... The New Testament portion was published in Reims, France, in 1582.

Satan needed permission from God to go after Job, and even then, he was curtailed.
Your idea that angels can do whatever they want comes from your imagination.
.
I know the Job story, but Satan reported to God that he had been patrolling the world when God asked what he had been doing. Satan patrolling the world indicates that he did it at his own discretion. Angels can use their own discretion to aid in their decision making. It is a freedom that God gives all creatures. I believe that God can make demons do His will, but often times demons are opposing His will.

If you think it's from my own imagination, you are right, but I use my imagination to understand how things go. Understanding is a gift of the Holy Spirit. I'm not just making things up, I figure things out based on experience and logic. Have you ever studied philosophy? It's like that.

Where do you think demons' wicked ideas and ill will come from if not from opposition to the will of God? The same thing goes for mankind, we don't always do God's will, unfortunately.

That Satan works against God is not being contested. That angels can do whatever they want? That is being contested.

They do what God allows, and God has put limits on what they can do.

Yeah, I read the Confraternity Version of the Bible (Catholic Confraternity on Christian Doctrine). I found in it some notable differences from other Bibles I've read. I read some of one of the Jerusalem Bibles; it seemed to be a more free-spirited translation, like in the story of Creation where it called the Spirit which hovered over the waters a "divine wind".

Well, that is one way of looking at it. I find what you say to be partially true: they do what God allows and God has put limits on what they can do. But they do do things that God does not allow, so they don't only do what God allows. Disobedience is a demon (my first cat, Cosmo). Demons disobey God to do what they want. Demons want to do what they want to do and they don't want anything to stop them or get in their way. They know they will get punished, though, so they do have some caution.

The angels that joined Lucifer in his war against God is a good example I think of angels rebelling and acting contrary to God's will.

Sounds to me like voodoo.

Does NOT sound to me even close to anything else God tells us to do. Like, this is in a completely different theology.
Tobit strikes me as a work of fiction. If smoking fish hearts actually drove away demons, wouldn't spread and become common practice by now. How big is a fish heart anyway? I mean, is it big enough to actually generate smoke? Everyone would've been exclaiming, "No! Don't throw that away!" whenever they saw bubba cleaning a fish, and sort through the innards.

Angels (especially demons) are not more powerful than God. How could a creature be greater than its Creator? Impossible!

Remember how I said Disobedience is a demon (actor Thomas "Tom" Hanks by the way) and how because of him demons and some men disobey God? Well there's another demon that represents a similar notion, Unprompted (Justin Timberlake and Orlando Bloom - just look at his moves and how he dances, it's so unprompted). Demons don't want to respond to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. They want to do what is not prompted, or unprompted, by God, and it's all because of this demon angel, Unprompted. Demon angels are in transgression and they do things that are contrary to the will of God. That doesn't mean that they can't do God's will, or that they always are transgressing; I believe that sometimes demons do God's will.

I know what you're trying to say... that God is almighty and how could anyone do that which He does not allow? But the sad truth is that sin exists and God is so innocent that He has nothing to do with it, especially causing it. So, somehow, sin occurs outside the will of God, whether it's angel or man that causes it.

No you do not know what I am trying to say. Partly because I have not tried to say anything! I have plainly
said what I mean while you keep misunderstanding and acting as if I am the one lacking understanding.

Angels cannot do anything God does not allow them to do. Period. That is a plain statement, repeated many times for your
benefit,
and it is irrefutable no matter how hard you try to wiggle your way around it and act as if I have said anything different.

Personally, I think you would make a better argument if you left professional fakers, actors, out of your pov.

Also, I think you might be assisted in your understanding of what sin is if you sought out Biblical study sites wherein the definition of Sin can be found.

This site for instance, https://www.studylight.org/dictionaries/eng/hbd/s/sin.html

No, demon angels transgress. It's what they're known for. I disagree with you on this one.
