Just as an FYI....news networks are owned by stockholders....which are usually not individuals but huge investment groups like JPMORGAN, Schwab, Blackrock and etc....they actually control the news for their positions in the market.

OK!!! A man by the name of Benny Johnson a very close friend to Tucker Carlson (please look for him on his pod cast) said one of the reasons he got fired was because Fox News is going to sell its company. We will have to see if this is true or not. Now Benny looked to talk to Tucker, but he is not talking to anyone at the moment, understandable. But this is what he thinks Fox is up to.

I stopped watching so much news....

I certainly didn't watch Tucker Carlson...I intentionally avoided doing so because his program was highly political in nature....much like Hannity's program is.

I listened to Hannity before he ever got to Fox News....he was on the Radio in Huntsville AL. (Conservative talk Radio)

His biggest day ever in the Radio there was when he asked "What's a grit?" (He hadn't lived in the South before)

Boy howdy did people call in to tell him.

One other bit about Sean....
I met him at a book signing....got a book for my boss who was a fan. He is really wrinkled....hair is dyed....but the makeup he wears is pancaked on so thick it hides the wrinkles. He is highly intelligent and smart with a memory that is a steel trap.

Most of the stuff he is saying is just what people want to hear...not what he personally thinks. Just saying.....

@JohnDB i appreciate your point of view and your reasoning.
I think we disagree on guns but we agree on a lot of other things.
Look,
When the first automobiles came out the first cars were made at a production rate of four per month. Everyone used horses. Livery and feed stores were everywhere....even in NYC where they used to shovel several tons of horse and mule dung every day. Gasoline was available only in cans at these feed stores...it was expensive. But the problem was the manure....people wanted to travel but they didn't want the poop. And cars were not a viable option. YET.

When it comes to guns....every creature has a self defense mechanism of some kind....claws, teeth, extra hard shell, stingers, and etc.

We the people want the self protection but we don't want the criminals getting guns to create mischief or crime. A 110 lb woman is not going to do well in a fist fight with a 230 lb guy who seeks to do her harm. If she has a firearm she has a great chance of brandishing the weapon and him running away in fear. (Happens a LOT more than what is reported) if necessary she can put holes in him.

Also street gangs only understand and respect violence. A father or mother will protect their children with shocking brutality against such thugs...and at times its been necessary.

Concealed carry works...and works well. It has stopped many crimes...but most people do not report such things to the police...they go on with their day and don't bother with reporting because no one got robbed or hurt and no shots were fired. (It happens a LOT too)

Tucker was fired because his statements without true sources to back them up are actionable and cost the network millions in a libel suit.
That's hardly the reason. And which statements were untrue? All the MSM lie daily and blatantly and this is never an issue. FOX News was trying to pretend it was conservative with someone like Carlson, but it was just as rotten as all the others. Hopefully it should now go down the tubes, jut like CNN. It is obvious that idiots are making major decisions in the media and in politics.

We seem to be getting a lot of seepage from the conspiracy forum lately, in multiple threads. Could somebody check the drain seals?

Apparently $787 million says that it is true.

Actually that was paid in order to COVER UP the truth. No one wanted the truth to come out. And that is exactly why Tucker was canned. But it is actually a boon for him. He has received a better offer.

It rhymes with meandering.

Whoops! Sorry, I didn't mean "why is it fun to say?" I meant it like, "What, you got something against it?" Kind of like a short, contentious man in New York City on a subway, "You gotta problem wit dat?" It was intended for a bit of levity.

Sorry, the way I worded it wasn't clear in text.

Okay John, I have a quick question for you.
What do you think about human gene modifications and enhancements?

They have been working on this....and it does work for a while. Things like sicle cell and other genetic problems. This type of thing (gene editing) is highly highly complicated and complex. DNA is instructions and RNA is how those instructions are read. The same DNA in one person is read completely differently in another.

It's a complete failure. Where it's even possible to change your eye color through gene therapy, the result is that within 2 years the new genes are cancerous and will kill you slowly. There are no super humans.

So far the only thing that has worked is a Gattica type solution. Embryos are genetically tested before implantation for roughly 300+ diseases and gender selection. ..(if I'm remembering the numbers correctly)
The procedure is not expensive either with only adding about $500-600 per embryo. And this is publicly available NOW.
Many couples who have means or credit are choosing this instead of doing things the old fashioned way by chance.

And if one parent is not a viable donor they do have huge catalogs of snowflake babies available for adoption.

John, so correct me if I’m wrong but it sounds to me that you don’t like gene editing or human enhancements through gene editing. How come you don’t like that and you like guns?

Gene editing to cure disease is fine....but it will also lead to cosmetic treatments to change hair color or to grow hair or bigger bust lines or faster metabolism so people can eat anything but not gain weight.

As with everything there are good things and abuse...guns are fine...but their abuse is what everyone takes exception to.

Obviously you use the internet....but it has two sides to it. One is proper use (such as you and I conversing) and then there's the epidemic of pornography addiction, gambling addiction, and social media bullying. We want one thing but others abuse it and it's almost impossible to stop. (And if we did nobody would be happy with the means)
