I'm trying to understand this thread. If you feel that you have the gift of prophecy, just share your prophecy. It will either come to pass or not. Simply say...Thus saith the Lord...and tell us what God has shared with you.
We can see for ourselves whether it comes to pass. At that point, it will be clear whether you speak for God or not. It won't matter what people think or say.

The thread originator has made ONE BIG MISTAKE OF THIS TOPIC.
They chose to make a gift an idol. There is only one primary reason for all Prophecy. From Genesis to Revelation, that is the Lord Jesus Christ and all scripture that is given by the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit that carried alone holy men of old to write and speak what God wanted to say.
To verify those who speak under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit today, Christ is the Chief Corner Stone all must build on. NO OTHER.
If one says the Holy Spirit is speaking through me and Christ is not the center of that Speaking or Prophesying to comfort, exhort, build up AS Jesus said the Holy Spirit would do in the Gospel of John chapter 14:15-17, 25-26 & 15:26-27 and chapter 16:7-11, we read:
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Chapter 15:26-27
26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
Chapter 16:7-11
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you;
but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
If one say they are speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and Christ is not the chief reason by which they are speaking.
Everything every they say is meaningless. Jesus brings comfort, exhortation, and building up from the Holy Spirit. Prophecy without Christ is not prophecy at all.
Over-emphasizing the gifts of the Holy Spirit instead of a relationship with Christ and one that is to be setting themselves apart from the world is dangerous.

I agree, arguing over trivialities is pointless; you and I simply disagree over what is trivial. Debating things like who wrote the book of Hebrews or whether Jesus will return as a woman are a waste of time. However, when you start making claims of being a prophet sent from God and introducing into your posts false teachers like Gary Morgan and Joyce Meyer, it stops being trivial and needs to be called out. You call me trivial just to shut me up.

I believe every Christian is blessed with the fruits of the holy spirit and also has the spirit of prophecy (Jesus) residing him them.

It called hello believers surely you can see you have at least one of these attributes in the op, all you need to do is tap into the rest.
