Being it was divine flesh created atom for atom by God for his purpose, I'd say it is returned to God."Jesus being Holy Spirit returned to Heaven as Holy Spirit."
I understand this and I am inclined to agree based on scripture, however I cannot resolve what happened to the "physical" Jesus who was a unique human being, the flesh which housed God.
Where is that human part now if you state it was just a cloak?
Paul was informed by Jesus .It is Paul, not Jesus who wrote the verse you are citing. (1 Cor 15) It simply doesn't apply in the way you want it to.
Jesus risen body is not perishable.
17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life – only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.’ ~ John 10
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. ~Rev 1
As I stated, context is key.since He is God He is always God.
Where is His fleshly body now?
poof?
If He only put on a disguise as a body to make the disciples think that He still had flesh and bone, and ate fish and honey to convince them He wasn't merely spirit, when actually He is only spirit and has no fleshly body, then that is the very definition of deceiving them.
Matthew 20, John 6, 1 Peter 2Where?
where does Christ day His body will not rise?
I've been looking but I don't see it. if you know the verses you are basing this on please post them.
Some mock what they do not understand.Jesus is not a transgender person. I personally cannot believe that question.
Paul was informed by Jesus .
Because Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust,
to bring you to God,
by being put to death in the flesh
but by being made alive in the spirit.
No, the same Jesus who died on the cross was raised from the dead and went to heaven. He will come again on the clouds of heaven, probably God's glory cloud.I am curious if that is about Jesus dying for our salvation and so Jesus will return to bring us to salvation rather than how Jesus would present.but I also see how that could be seen in many different ways!
Yes, I know the passage. Thank you for the confirmation.8 For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
And then...........
19 in which he also went and made proclamation to the spirits in prison
20 who in the past were disobedient, when God patiently waited in the days of Noah while the ark was being prepared. In it a few—that is, eight people—were saved through water.
21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you (not as the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a good conscience toward God) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God with angels, authorities, and powers subject to him.
The only requirement for the forgiveness of sin is the shedding of blood. His body wasn't required.Yes, I know the passage. Thank you for the confirmation.
He was put to death in the flesh and was made alive in the spirit. And it was that which carried on in those descriptions.
Jesus gave his flesh and blood as ransom.
Just as in a money ransom for a life, if someone takes the ransom back that payment for that life is forfeit .
If Jesus took his flesh and blood mortal self back, the ransom is forfeit.
Which didn't happen. That's why he was made alive in the spirit.
I won't agree to augment the scriptures because some don't accept what is written. The only requirement for the forgiveness of sin is the shedding of blood. His body wasn't required.
Also, we are all made alive in Spirit, not just Jesus. And we still have flesh and bones.
Subtle insults are never profitable for discussion. I, like a number of others, have attempted to help you understand the scriptures. Most here are Christians seeking to know more and share what they have learned. That should be cause for gratitude and even in disagreement Christ should be magnified.I won't agree to augment the scriptures because some don't accept what is written.
Believe as you wish.
I think you need to take your own advice and stop accusing others of negative intent. Claiming my remarks are a subtle insult does not make it true.Subtle insults are never profitable for discussion. Grace and peace.
