Now watching Lucky Hank and finishing watching Killing Eve. Killing Eve has some of the same elements as, and probably inspired by, the Kill Bill movies; it is an interesting series but I sometimes close my eyes and shut my ears.

John Barleycorn is a good song, isn't it? I had "A Little Light Music" (Live in Athens) when I lived in the West Midlands, it's a serious musical rendition. Traffic have also recorded it, but there's was too bass heavy, and they dragged it out with slow tempo playing.

Watching or feeding?
Most of it is defiling.
Yes I watched, 8 years ago, can’t remember what it was called,

Psalm 101:3 KJV
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

Romans 1:32 KJV
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

There is a fine line when it comes to entertainment. I started a thread along those lines the other day in the Young Adults section; I'd be curious to hear your thoughts over there.

Hello, @HealthAndHappiness: Yes, I bought my CALLAN DVDs from Amazon.com, about 10 years ago now; Hopefully you can still purchase them from Amazon.com
That's great!

I'll look for the complete set of The Equalizer too. In America it was only available for seasons 1&2 when I bought mine. Europe had it available for every season. I'm sure if you have Callan, you have it .

Oh, that's a really deep one. My favorite is "Avoid the appearance of evil." What do you do with that, because technically, a person could use it to deliberately be a hypocrite, although I'm sure that's fairly uncommon. What do you think of interpreting that to mean avoiding evil when you see it around you, because current events are not Heavenly at all.

Also, if you did get a sense of deja vu, how would you react? Visons and dreams are not household conversation, people run away to secretly discuss them with perspectivation psychologists, whose usual response is that it's all about interpersonal relationships and advise them to just reimagine the feelings and "work" with the other people involved.

I suppose there's always, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." but I find that that works considerably less well on robbers, rioters, and racketeers.

@HealthAndHappiness: No, I don't own any of THE EQUALIZER episodes, I'm sorry; I watched all of the series on TV, from 1985-1989, but I thought that Edward was much better in CALLAN (when he was a bit younger), and that CALLAN was a much better show, even though I thought that THE EQUALIZER was pretty good!

Hi Magenta,

Yes, I'm pretty sure it was just for CALLAN; As far as I know, they didn't make an EQUALIZER movie.

Hi Magenta,

I have a book chapter on this, but needs updated.

The EQUALIZER was made a movie.
I always have low expectations since movies don't do the books justice. The best TV series would likely result in a disappointing remake in a movie version. I'm glad that I was wrong.

I made the mistake of not taking up my brother's invitation to see The Book of Eli on the big screen. It was Denzel Washington's best up to that point. The theme was amazing. His personal input for a new script to contain Bible references turned it into something Hollywood big wigs did Not want in the theaters.

The same actor played the Equalizer in the movie.
Anyhow, I took my brother and friends to the EQUALIZER movie and was moved. That's all I'll say for now. I was able to identify with Denzel's interpretation of the character in a way that I just can't describe yet.
Everything from the direction to the martial art choreography was as if it was custom designed personally for me.

I think I know why, but that would take me way past my bedtime.
