He was certainly worshipped before His resurrection!
Matthew 2:11
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
from His birth even the angels call Him Lord
Luke 2:11
For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord
yeah definately he is worshipped as the son of God the messiah in the gospel several times( after he walks on water and calms the sea and winds , after he heals the blind man ect ) I agree
what I was saying he always did this while on earth he always separated himself from the father in some way making the father always greater showing that he himself was also subject to God always showing he is the son , God is the father he is greater
“My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.”
John 10:29 KJV
Jesus does this very consistently
“For
I have not spoken of myself; but
the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
And I know that
his commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
John 12:49-50 KJV
He’s always showing the position of the man of God the son , for instance Jesus prayed often showing reverence , teaching his disciples to pray , Jesus went through stressful hard moments and turned to God because he also became a man and carried our infirmities and plight
During the gospel Jesus often speaks as if God is seperate of greater than he he also says things like “ I and my father are one “ of course towards the end of the gospel , but mostly he’s making it clear that God is in heaven and is also within him as we hear the gospel and see Jesus baptism receving the spirit and begin preaching salvation
This is very significant point in Jesus life and begins the gospel being preached
“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”
Luke 3
but this also is extremely significant is what I was getting at
“Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said,
I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.”
John 14:28 KJV
preparing to die
“I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And
now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
John 17:4-5 KJV
there’s a shift at that point after he died and rose
“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I
am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
John 20:17 KJV
shortly after Jesus said that he accepts for the very first time this title of worship
“Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and
be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him,
My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
John 20:27-29 KJV
what I’m saying is Jesus created all things but the. There came a point where man became lost and no man was worthy To intercede and save them , so he became a man lived a worthy life and gave it away to save us then he returned to the glory of God before all things
it was necessary that a man intercede God became that man
“For there is one God, and
one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
1 Timothy 2:5-6 KJV
now we have a living intercessor forever
“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
Hebrews 7:25 KJV
“who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power,
when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”
Hebrews 1:2-3 KJV
“Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;”
Hebrews 3:1 KJV
“Seeing then that
we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not
an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but
was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:14-16 KJV
“For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted,
he is able to succour them that are tempted.”
Hebrews 2:18 KJV
“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum:
We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.”
Hebrews 8:1-2 KJV
Before Jesus was born lived died and ascended to heaven man didn’t have an intercessor
“And he saw that
there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore
his arm brought salvation unto him; and
his righteousness, it sustained him. For
he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon
his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
So
shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. And
the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.”
Isaiah 59:16-17, 19-20 KJV
Now after Jesus became a man lived died and rose and ascended to the right hand of God we have an intercessor God became that man to interceded for man
“Who is he that condemneth? It is
Christ that died, yea rather, that is
risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
Romans 8:34 KJV
He’s God of course but in Christ God created an intercessor for us
