Here's another one.

These banks aren't exactly retail banks. These are investment Banks....kinda like a Charles Schwab or JP Morgan except instead of regular stocks These banks are for small businesses that receive angel investing. And anyone can be an angel investor with these banks. You don't have to be a millionaire to use them or invest with them.

And half of all Tech Startups used SVIB. Meaning that a HUGE portion of these companies are in a huge mess. Their bank is broke and their payroll is not going to be made.

The other investment banks are now in trouble too as there is a run on these type of banks....everyone wants their money out now!

So many people wonder how this affects them...
Well,
Wife works at A major cancer research University Hospital. I can go into details about the layers and levels of paperwork that medical research requires....but the hours needed would bore you to death.

But all this paperwork and documentation needs a system for the hundreds of thousands of research projects ongoing at any one time. So several companies have created complicated software systems to organize all this stuff.
These software systems are not inexpensive to create or maintain. They require millions to develop. All cloud based stuff.

A startup Creates a system and begins selling it out there to places like University hospitals. And the code monkeys keep it all going and operating.

Until the Startups bank crashes....and then everyone who works there runs out to find a new job because their current job can't make payroll.

So where do you go for a new job?

A bunch of code monkeys are out of work....no where to go because half of the code monkeys out there are unemployed.
Nevermind the code monkeys from India who will work for peanuts. (But they tend to write viruses into the system)

Or how about the company that makes special gizmos for diagnostics on a particular brand of air handlers....it's a startup...and doing well....expecting to get bought out soon.....until their bank collapsed and they can't even pay rent on their warehouse much less payroll....

What now?

Less than 10% of all companies in the US are multinational companies....90% of all companies are small businesses....AKA Startups.
And Startups have jobs that pay. I remember when Amazon was a startup. People were excited when their site got hits....now it's a nightmare. But if they had crashed because of the bank.....

First Republic drops 60%, leads decline in bank stocks despite government’s backstop of SVB

First Republic Bank led a decline in bank shares Monday that came even after regulators’ extraordinary actions Sunday evening to backstop all depositors in failed Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank and offer additional funding to other troubled institutions.

San Francisco’s First Republic shares lost 64% on Monday after declining 33% last week. PacWest Bancorp dropped 32%, and Western Alliance Bancorp lost more than 50% as regional bank stocks fell sharply. Zions Bancorporation shed 19%, while KeyCorp fell 23%. Other financial firms were also under pressure, as Bank of America slipped 3%, while Charles Schwab tumbled 9%.

Many of the bank stocks were halted repeatedly for volatility throughout the day.

How do we prepare for the day when all our money has gone up in smoke or the money we do have isn't even enough to by toilet paper?

Answer:

Buy now or cry later.

When that day comes the Antichrist will offer you a false gospel, which isn't even a gospel. Take his mark, worship him, and he'll give you a bank account where you can buy food, only when you do get into the store you'll realize nothing there and you would have been better off just growing your own food.

So prepare now to be a martyr, set yourself to worship the Lord and Him only will I serve.

That is what Biden said. He will have targeted guarantees on your bank deposits, just trust him and by all means don't take the money out of the Bank. It is as though he is a counterfeit savior. I think we should all remember the Lord's word that your heart will be where your treasure is, put your treasure in heaven where thieves and Biden don't break in and steal.

Well you do need a bank to transact business today....work use automatic deposits, rent and mortgages use electronic deposits....nobody uses cash
Yes. And there was absolutely no reason for any bank to fail in America.

What happened to the proper oversight of banks? Why is the Federal Reserve allowed to get away with their shenanigans day after day? Why did the Republicans approve spending bill after spending bill with no limit in sight? What we are seeing is a total DERELICTION OF DUTY by all branches of government. People speak about "reckless endangerment" in connection with driving automobiles. Well Biden and his administration have been practicing reckless endangerment of the economy and the country and getting away with it for over two years.

Rotate it as long as you can. And if gets to rotten to use then whatever can't be wiped away will have to dry up and fall off naturally, or you could grow corn.

Actually there's been an issue with the classification of the banks. SVIB was classified as a mid sized regional bank even though it had international reach....nevermind coast to coast branches.

Mid sized banks have looser restrictions and regulations than large banks. The all important stress test was completely ignored for the number 16th largest bank in America. That got ignored during Obama and Trump's and Biden's administration. Trump got some deregulation for Banks (never a good idea) so currently the Dems are trying to blame Trump for everything from bad economy to SVIB failure.

And truly it's the current political system that is broken...not any one politician. Corporations should not be allowed to donate to politicians or parties. This includes PACs. We have become an plutocracy instead of a Democratic republic. (Only billionairs get a real influence on our government....the rest are treated like mushrooms and told fertilizer)

Because basically nobody did their job. Not the two Government agencies and certainly not risk management at SVIB.
I guess they were all too busy shoving money in their pockets by double handfuls. The executive officers of SVIB all sold all of their stock and exercised options in SVIB last month. Yeah....they knew and dumped their stock. Talk about insider trading. All got some bonuses too.

So....they get bailed out at taxpayer expense. (25 billion and growing rapidly)

Then there's at least 50 other bank stocks that had to have their stock trading halted today. 65% drops and 85% drops tend to make that happen.

That's exactly what I was saying. Now who is the first person who should be arrested and locked up?
How can such gross negligence be tolerated in a country like America?

They may have been grossly negligent but they donated heavily to the Democrats. Compare them with East Palestine, the community probably wasn't negligent at all, but they also didn't donate to the Democrats.

Biden is instant in making sure all those depositors were not frozen out of their account for even a single day. He also made sure that they would all be made whole, regardless of whether or not they were insured, because the deplorables could just pay more fees at their bank to see that it is done.

Meanwhile Biden tried to get away with saying they couldn't even supply bottled water to East Palestine. "Quit complaining, drink the water and die." (though to be fair I never actually heard him say that, haven't heard him say anything).

One of the most astute things Donald Trump could have done in this situation is that before he went to East Palestine, he had already made full and proper arrangements to have each and every resident moved safely to a safe small town location within Ohio (and not too far away).

Then after distributing the food and water he generously provided, he should have had a public rally where he informed the people that it was extremely hazardous for anyone to remain in that contaminated and polluted area any longer. Given his billions, he could have made some excellent arrangements for everyone to move and resettle, then encouraged them to immediately file law suits (after moving) against as many entities as possible.

This would not only have shown Ohioans that he cared for the ordinary people, but it would have shown America the true leadership required in a president within a crisis, and displayed by Trump. Chances are that East Palestine is finished. But there are scores of small towns in Ohio which are similar, and where these people could have re-established themselves with his help. Sure it may have cost him something, but the goodwill he would have earned would have gone beyond Ohio. Americans understand selfless generosity.

The risk assessment manager at SVB was a clueless woke joke. Same goes with the Silvergate crew.
