Clueless? They got paid, they got their money out, I would bet they won't be charged with a crime, and it is the taxpayer, oops I mean who have bank accounts, who will pay, not them. So who is clueless?

Sure it may have cost him something, but the goodwill he would have earned would have gone beyond Ohio. Americans understand selfless generosity.

Doing so would have done the exact same thing to other people but not as concentrated in one location.

Most of his money is tied up in investments like hotels and other companies. Having a "fire sale " to help out some people would have caused the immediate unemployment of others.

It gets to a point where your money owns you and not the other way around.
