Mat 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Converting the 6th hour to a particular time that we westerners understand would be noon/midday/12 pm
Therefore the 9th hour would be 3 pm. Christ was hung on the tree at 9 am or 3rd hour.
2Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
Jesus said:
Mat_12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
Mat_16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.
Luk_11:29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
Luk_11:30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
Below is three witnesses showing Wednesday, April 25, 31AD is consistantly the same - On a Wednesday.
When you place Jesus in the grave/tomb before sundown Wednesday, you get
Night #1. At Sunrise on Thursday, you get
Day #1. Thursday at sundown begins
Night #2. At Sunrise Friday, you get
Day #2. At sundown Friday begins
Night #3. At sunrise on Saturday you get
Day #3. Many Christians have not read Leviticus 23 to see the following 3 things. 1) Friday at sundown is the beginning of the 7th day/Sabbath. 2) The 14th day of the first month is Passover. 3) The 15th day of the first month is a High Holy Day. That means this:
Joh_19:31 The Jews therefore, because
it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
Joh_19:32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
Joh_19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
Lev 23:5 In
the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover.
Lev 23:6 And on
the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
Lev 23:7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
The 15th day of the first month begins at sundown April 25, 31 AD, which is also called a High Sabbath, means it lands outside of the 7th day/Sabbath. So when the women prepared ointment for Jesus' body, they could not prepare on Thursday, but could prepare the ointments on Friday, and then could not go to the tomb until after the weekly Sabbath/7th day was over. So they went early, before sunlight on Sunday, and found His tomb empty. He had risen at the end of the weekly Sabbath, that is Saturday before sundown. 3 Days and 3 Nights.
I use an app on my computer called "Stellarium". I have viewed all of the possible dates and believe that Wednesday April 25, 31 AD is the correct date. But is there a second witness? Yes, utilizing the Stellarium program, setting the location to Jerusalem, Israel. Notice in the screenshot 31AD and 4/25. The full moon is a partial solar eclipse. Choose any other possible date for Christ's crucifixion and you will not find a solar eclipse happening from noon to 3 pm.
