I don't got a problem with those affirming OSAS, many of them fear God, but that doesnt make it correct. See 1 Timothy 4:1
Not!
It's that you refuse to follow the rules which the Bible clearly states. You can't come to truth that way
what does tim 4: 1 have to do with those who are born again?I don't got a problem with those affirming OSAS, many of them fear God, but that doesnt make it correct. See 1 Timothy 4:1
I am not falsly accusing someoneYes, and he's very far ahead. He's had a lot more practice at it than I've had.
How can you depart from the faith if you're not part of it? Just asking.what does tim 4: 1 have to do with those who are born again?
How can you depart from the faith if you're not part of it? Just asking.
Thats not what the passage says.
we have been over this 100 times, these are gifts the spirit gives to those who have been saved and have been given the HS. Which paul in eph 1: 13- 14 sdays happens after we heard the word, then believe then we are sealed (given) the HS. Your gifts are THEN given
No one will come to jesus with out being drawn and taught by God..
That does not mean they are born again first. God does not need to give me new birth to make me believe in him, he has the power to convince me without making me alive.
Why that bothers you so much is beyond me
Sorry bud, Just because I reject your interpretation of the word does not mean I am not following the rules.
One takeaway I think. In making the effort the scripture in 1 Corinthians 2 is proven true again and again.Thank you very much, ButterflyJones. I really appreciate it.
Yawn. You can't just use one verse.
Yes, we have - it still pertinent but you remain unable to comprehend it. How can someone believe until they have been given faith?
True faith comes from salvation. Until given faith by the Holy Spirit, no one can believe -you can't have faith without having faith.
But you insist that someone can have it, without it. - logical contradiction - not possible. If someone thinks their faith was produced of themselves, then their faith is in themselves.
That they are born-again is exactly what it means. How do I know that? Because the preceding verse specifically tells us so - everyone taught of the Father are they, and only they, who Christ will raise up on the last day. The "they" in v45 - are the drawn of v44.
[Jhn 6:44-45 KJV]
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
Prepare for it not to be beyond you:
First, it is saying that Christ's offering was insufficient of itself to bring salvation and needs human
assistance to complete it; 2) it is calling God a liar because He stated otherwise - that it was fully sufficient in and of itself;
3) it makes people think their salvation is in their hands (when its not), which makes it a work and therefore a false gospel. Our work can never bring salvation to anyone - instead, it brings judgment.
Why do you have so much trouble seeing Christ as the Saviour in all ways and not just in some?
lol..
lets put it this way.
if I, through no fault of my own, can come to receive the gift of salvation that God is ofeering based on his work alone
then God can not judge me for not having faith in him
He who believes is not condemned
Jesus said this.. That is the law..
I could care less if you follow my rules.Sorry "bud", when you think one verse is complete in and of itself as you did with Abraham's faith, you obviously didn't follow the rules.
Well since you’re to afraid to even speak, and since you are to afraid to even respond to the false accusation you made against me. Keep on attacking me,, Because all you do is continue to expose yourselfOne takeaway I think. In making the effort the scripture in 1 Corinthians 2 is proven true again and again.
As that becomes more evident I think we will realize the folly of thinking we can change the mind God's Holy Spirit has not as yet.
The Bible proves itself true when we have the God given opportunity to test the spirits.
I am always grateful for that lesson.![]()
Because you have proven time after time you have not heard a word I have said.I don't understand your answer. You seem to be saying both sides at the same time.
Because you have proven time after time you have not heard a word I have said.
You’re listening to me through blinders. Your church told you what I believe, and thats all you can hear. You can;t hear me or anyone else like me who disagrees with you. You look for key words and the light comes on, I know what that guys is saying, when 90 % of the time, you have no idea what we are saying, and you prove it every time you accuse them of something
@rogerg Please keep giving me a thum s down to things which are true.. it just leads me further away from you..
you would be better off just responding to it and proving me wrong. When you think s down, it tells me you can;t prove me wrong.
You just proved my point for me"Your church told me what I believe"? Huh? Look, this is as simple as simple can be. It comes down to this:
I say Christ is the Saviour in all possible ways and in all possible aspects, and that we as man are not in any way. You simply can't
believe that.
Its ok.. I feel the same way’’It's too much effort to repeat the same things over and over to you when you do not get them. A thumbs down is quicker and easier.
Feel free to thumbs-down me whenever you'd like - doesn't bother me at all - in fact it's a lot easier that way.
You just proved my point for me
I have saying those very words for 40 years now.. Wither you believe it or not does not make a difference..
