Thats not what the passage says.
You can't just use one verse.
we have been over this 100 times, these are gifts the spirit gives to those who have been saved and have been given the HS. Which paul in eph 1: 13- 14 sdays happens after we heard the word, then believe then we are sealed (given) the HS. Your gifts are THEN given
Yes, we have - it still pertinent but you remain unable to comprehend it. How can someone believe until they have been given faith?
True faith comes from salvation. Until given faith by the Holy Spirit, no one can believe -you can't have faith without having faith.
But you insist that someone can have it, without it. - logical contradiction - not possible. If someone thinks their faith was produced of themselves, then their faith is in themselves.
No one will come to jesus with out being drawn and taught by God..
That does not mean they are born again first. God does not need to give me new birth to make me believe in him, he has the power to convince me without making me alive.
That they are born-again is exactly what it means. How do I know that? Because the preceding verse specifically tells us so - everyone taught of the Father are they, and only they, who Christ will raise up on the last day. The "they" in v45 - are the drawn of v44.
[Jhn 6:44-45 KJV]
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
Why that bothers you so much is beyond me
Prepare for it not to be beyond you:
First, it is saying that Christ's offering was insufficient of itself to bring salvation and needs human
assistance to complete it; 2) it is calling God a liar because He stated otherwise - that it was fully sufficient in and of itself;
3) it makes people think their salvation is in their hands (when its not), which makes it a work and therefore a false gospel. Our work can never bring salvation to anyone - instead, it brings judgment.
Why do you have so much trouble seeing Christ as the Saviour in all ways and not just in some?
