So, you're saying Acts 13:48 is wrong? That those ordained to eternal life will believe.
Those who believe will never die because they had been ordained to eternal life and therefore believe.
No one can see or believe unless it was given to them. They cannot do so on their own.
No

Acts 38 is right. God knew before time began who would be saved and predestined them

Just not the fatalistic view..

Oh my! I already did that - you are just unable to comprehend it. I'm not going to teach chapter 3 to you.
teach chapter 3 to me? You keep ignoring it. I keep telling you what it says and your only response is I am wrong..

You think I need it taught to me? You have to understand it before you can teach it to someone else.. Someone who is so sure of what it says should easily be able to break it down for us..

Do you have an ounce of humility in you?

You're making it up as you go alone. He chose (elected) them to salvation, and based upon that, fulfilled it and saved/s them.

How do you understand Ephesians 1:4...According as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world...?

How do you understand Ephesians 1:4...According as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world...?
who did he chose. according to his foreknowledge?

What was the will of the father

John 6: 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

we see two aspects to the will of the Father

1. They are saved eternally. salvation can nover be lost
2. They are saved because they believe.. Just like jesus said in John 3. whoever believes...vs whoever does not believe...

Jesus tells them in John 6 they do nto see why? Because they do nto believe, not because they are dead

So you base it on what God foreknew would happen?

I bases it on Gods character.

God is omnicient, Nothing happens that he did not already know what would happen..
He is also sovereign...which means His choices are made independent of all other influences but His own.
But that's not why I asked the question. I asked to try to understand if you believe foreknowledge is about what God foreknows as opposed to who God foreknows.

God is everything

God has the fight, in his soverign will. to do whatever he wants.

even if it is to allow his creation to sin against him, and to recieve His grace of their own free will. or reject it

Elected from before the foundation of the world - they already had been chosen for salvation from before their birth.

He's also sovereign and Omnipresent. Nothing happens without his knowledge because all things are his dominion.
He is also perfect love..

its why he did not destroy us the moment we rebelled. His justice demanded a payment (death) his love found away (Grace)

you can't claim to be a god of perfect love, and then condemn millions of people without even giviung them the chance to repent.. and judging them because they did not repent.

that would be the best way to not only ensure there will be another revolt in heaven. But works in satans favor. as That is satans lie against him.. that is not all loving.

then there is no need for them to repent and believe in the gospel.

they are already saved..

again, They would not be born dead. they would be born alive..

@rogerg

Again I ask you if you have any humility.

you want me to see Gods love in you.. I would suggest you start to show it back, and stop being so proud

I think if you read the OT in full you will see God is not exclusively all loving.
If you read the entire Bible because the OT lays groundwork for the New it will greatly assist your perspective.

We will conclude our exchange here. May God's mercies and peace find you in happiness and joy. ☺️

That's man's logic. The only repentance of value to God is in one's turning to Christ and believing/trusting in Him fully and completely as Saviour and in His completed perfect offering. Of himself, man can never produce that kind of repentance - God alone must give it, but it is only to the elect.

[2Ti 2:25 KJV]
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Right. But I'm not desiring to discuss attributes of God but rather the essence of foreknowledge. When the Bible speaks about the foreknowledge of God, does it speak of what He foreknew or who He foreknew?
