I've noticed that women tend to over share information at hair salons. I deliver mail to one particular hair salon and one day I walked in and asked a woman who worked there where one of the other hair stylists had been. She had not been there for going on 2 weeks and I asked if she was on vacation. The woman then told me that she was not on vacation but is still recovering from her miscarriage. Multiple others in the hair salon heard her and looked shocked that she shared that personal information out loud. I too was shocked. o_O

I like your boring letter. When I see the "H" at a side of a post, I relax a little and think to myself "Ah, this one will be a post I can trust!" :)

Lol. There was a new sheriff in town. Whose hat do you think I'm now wearing? ;-)
Definitely not HandH's...or your hat would be white.

lol, I am French!!
Do you do that on publisher Moses?
It was from a word of knowledge, careful observation, or dumb luck. Knowing Moses, it was probably some combination of the three.

well when people are silenced it just makes them want to share even more I think.
Keeping secrets and lying about things isnt easy for many people, they would rather be honest.

I think it might be a British reserve thing to not say what you mean or use euphemisms for uncomfortable topics like death, sex etc.

There's an old program called ImageForge. You have to pay for it now, or use a trial. Once upon a time, it was free, and I kept the free version. I just took some online clipart, removed the hat from her face, and put it on your profile. Glad you tried it on.

There are other free programs people use now, but they make it so complicated to do the same. It is so much simpler on (the old version of) ImageForce.

I have never heard of that program, it sounds alot easier than publisher. I tried but I kept chopping my head off when I would try to add my cat hat lol. It would have been an interesting avatar though.

I'm not sure how Publisher works, but with ImageForge, the aim is to set everything you don't want to the background colour. You then make the background colour invisible, and when you copy (e.g. the hat picture) and paste (e.g. onto the face picture), everything set to background colour pastes as transparent, so you're left with a moveable hat on the face.

This allows you to paste irregular shapes with no background (e.g. a hat shape), without having to fit it into a square box (and chopping part of your head off!)

That sounds alot more easier. I wish I had known about this program, for now I will stick to being headless at times lol.

It is a lot easier, although I don't think you should be headless, as your head suits you quite nicely.

The current (free) program is called GIMP 2, and it is so complicated. You've got to add different layers, and set an "alpha channel" (which I think means invisible), and there are so many options you get lost. Apparently, some people have done it on Youtube, but I stopped trying to figure out what they'd done because all my options seemed to be different to theirs.

I really wish they would leave things uncomplicated instead of trying to improve on things so that few understand it. It really annoys me. Thanks for info. Lol, I enjoyed being headless for a short while although am liking my current beret.

One of my wife's and I favorite pastime lately is reddit AITA threads.

They are all about people airing out their family's dirty laundry. And it's shocking....

People are morally flawed and bankrupt. Of course the posters never tell on themselves except in a backhanded manner....which I find interesting.

But to the OP....yep. they do.

Now there's a "limerence" forum on Reddit.

Limerence is where you are infatuated with something or someone...not necessarily in a romantic fashion.

And people are crazy....

Just saying.

its gossip
Been happening ever since two women opened their mouths to speak.

When Jesus rose from the dead, the women couldnt wait to tell everyone but nobody believed them cos they just thought it was gossip. Were they 'oversharing'?

There are archives of newspapers from late 1800's and early 1900's from a small town that I am moving to.

Now THAT was a gossip rag....
It detailed who was visiting who and when and where. Who had good crops and who was seen loafing. Who was perpetrating voter fraud and who wasn't.

And especially who was late on paying for their newspapers. (LOL)

My SIL (a millennial) was aghast at what was printed there. This was the town's newspaper....read all about the county. An official record of events.

I never have heard anymore from her about what she thought of this newspaper.
