I can feel your sadness and nothing i can say can fix that. Well, maybe one thing: continue to cultivate a close relationship with God like the great ones of the past (and present) have.

Perhaps consider this:

Let the intentional focus of your mind, as much much as is possible, to have your heart worshiping God, remembering His constant presence, and be aware and accept His great love for you when He choses to make it evident. Become totally owned by God.
I've basically learned to just set my face like a flint. In other words, I just keep forging forward, come what may. I really have no other option. In Christ alone is found the hope of eternal life, so I'd never even consider looking back, let alone turning back. I try to turn my sense of loss into the sense of loss that Christ must feel for those who are perishing. This leads and helps me to try to seek and to save those who are lost via the gospel of Christ.

I know what you mean, but here's my real struggle. I almost wish that God had never created women in the first place or to begin with.

Maybe I'm crazy or something, but I get drawn into Bible stories many times as if I was there myself while experiencing what the person or persons in that account must have experienced. For example, not too long ago, I met a woman, the Filipina that I mentioned to you on another thread, who was so different from all of the other women that I've ever met before in my life, with the exception of maybe two or three other women, that I actually felt as if I was experiencing what Adam experienced when he awoke from his God-induced sleep to encounter Eve for the very first time.

I mean, think about it.

Prior to that, Adam had beheld different aspects of God's glorious creation, but here was something new, and she must have greatly surpassed all of the other beauties which Adam had previously beheld. In his case, he got to keep her as his wife. In my case, I'm only left to behold something that I almost wish I never beheld in the first place because it makes me think that I'm missing out on something that could be really beautiful. And it's not just with that one woman. There have been a tiny handful of other women as well, as few and as far between as they were, that have produced this same feeling of loss or missing out on something in me. This is why I kind of lamented to you the other day how it saddens me that there won't be marriage in the world to come. In other words, I not only miss out on having this type of companionship in this life, but it won't even exist in the world to come.

To be totally honest, I'd be happy to just have a real close friendship with a woman, even if she and I were only activity partners who just did things together from time to time. I really couldn't even care less about the prospect of possible sexual relations if such a woman were ever to become my wife. It's the companionship that interests me more than anything else.

I got invited to a gathering tonight in which most people there will be men. The women will be other men's wives. I really don't think that I'm going to go. Stinky men don't appeal to me at all.

Anyway, when I think about these things, and I've had to train myself to suppress or reject such thoughts or else I might die of a broken heart, all that I can say is that being presented to Christ as his bride one day must be glorious indeed if it surpasses what I've just described here. For now, I'm just trying to play the hand that I've seemingly been dealt in life, one day at a time.

Well... I can sympathize with much of what you wrote. I do not want to elaborate too much, but I feel that frustration sometimes myself. I wish God would make me asexual. But... He doesn't. Yay.

i said there is real pain in denying yourself…. It’s what i experienced, but that doesn’t last after Gods power sets in. It also helps to really convince you want to give up the sin.

Good topic but probably not the right forum (unless you write a poem about it real quick ;)). I don't know how things work here as far as moving threads to another forum, etc. But just wanted to point out that perhaps you wanted to post it in another section.

One way to not to be enticed by your own desire is reject any lustful thought. Avoid looking at women or men
Brother I associate women it's hard to look away cause though they dress badly you have to cooperate with them .

2 Corinthians 10:5 says we are to take our thoughts captive unto obedience to Jesus.
Philippians 4:8 instructs us on the things we should direct our thoughts towards.
And 2 Corinthians 3:18 shows us how we can have our very desires changed so we won't have such desires still in our hearts. Psalm 37:4 does as well.

Its not easy, but it get easier as you resist the sin. You remember if you fantasize how painful it gets the last time to resist, so you put on the brakes early. For me i realized how close He was when temptation starts. It was also I learned how much greater I love Him than the sin. It became that i looked forward to the temtation even with the pain of resisting because i enjoyed His close company, He loves me so much. I also worship Him a lot of the time with streaming hymns. I get great pleasure in worshipping Him. I love Him more than anything else. I have become aware how very much He loves me, that helps too.

If you are in your prime that and your drive is strong, look too the heros the faith that resisted temptation…..Joseph and potiphors wife. God is so able in us to do anything such as resisting any sin.

We must be very aware of our own sinful weaknesses, whatever they may be; judging others, sexual lusts, greed, envy, hatred........etc/etc.............

Satan knows our weaknesses and that's where he and his minions will attack us. Not where we are strongest, but weakest. And many/many are falling to Satan's temptations of desires/lusts of the flesh. And Satan's laughing with delight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it starts with the attack on children. Capture a child's soul and you'll own them when they're an adult. And today, our children are being inundated to the nth degree with pornography and sexual perverseness at very early ages. Children can't defend against this attack. In fact, it is our fault that the children are exposed to this. We demanded 'freedom' to watch pornography, for the last 40 years. And now it's everywhere.

That was Hitler's tact, capture the children within the Hitler Youth, and they will fight and die for Hitler's cause.

And, BTW, Christian men and women have fallen hard to Satan's lure of pornography! 68% of church-going men and over 50% of pastors view porn on a regular basis. Of young Christian adults 18-24 years old, 76% actively search for porn.

Who's guilty? Keep in mind that this is the world we created for our children and grandchildren. Who's guilty? Take a quick peek in the mirror!

That’s very important not to view porn, also look away from women. You cant stop a bird from landing on your head, but you can stop it from landing there

Yes on guard for all type of sins. Sexual sin is on of the hardest i think for me. I have been successful, thanks to His grace. I think its very possible that there are a whole lot of things i do and think that displease Him. I often ask Him to forgive me for the hidden ones as well.

you can get addicted to porn! I didnt but can put it on the list of Gods grace that I am free of.

As time has gone by, i see how he just wants to give us good and more good. I look at my children and my grandchildren and i am very thankful to Him that he designed a way for us to have children. To love them. He is is so overflowing in love that He wants to share with us creating and loving like He does. He will do all and everything out of the love for us His children, it how He is, it is His nature.

People need to come to the understanding that the important thing is being in the right place with God so that your sins are being forgiven... It's not about successfully ceasing to sin.. That is not something we fallen flesh human beings are going to achieve.. People stressing out and living if fear of somehow being in danger losing their salvation because they cannot achieve a sinless state of being in this life/world have totally misunderstood the Gospel Way of Salvation..

Again we do not enter into eternity with God because we achieve a state of being worthy of doing so..

We will be entering into eternity with God because all our unworthiness is being covered by the Atonement of the LORD Jesus.. We are Deemed worthy by the righteousness of the LORD Jesus.. Not our own righteousness..

That sounds pretty good on the surface but only partly true. Yes we are saved by grace but saved to what end?

Much easier to say i can sexually sin or do any other sin all i want because “It's not about successfully ceasing to sin..” why even try, after all we are not saved to be like He is? No sense at all “Being perfect as my heavenly Father is” or “if you love me, keep my commandment”

Grace is cheap so why not take advantage of it?
