What is Sexual Sin
All sexual conduct outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin. All lustful thinking is sexual sin. Although I have no quote from the scripture, I believe that it includes self sex.
What does the Bible say about Sexual Immorality
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body
Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
Matthew 5:28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
What are the consequences of Sexual Sin?
1Corinthians 6:9-11 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Romans 1:24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
Proverbs 6:32 He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself.
Breakup of families, illegitimate children. Children that are not taken care of by both parents.
Is It Possible to Avoid Sexual sin?
James 1:13-14 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
One way to not to be enticed by your own desire is reject any lustful thought. Avoid looking at women or men. Avoid any video, TV, movies that have any sexual content or suggestion. Avoid pornography. There is a saying that you can’t stop a bird from landing on your head but you can avoid the bird making a nest in your hair. What this means is that when lustful thoughts arise to reject them and think about something else, like worshiping God, reading the scripture or reviewing the scripture you have memorized.
Genesis 39 6:10 She caught him by his garment, saying “Lie with me”. Bu he left his garment in her hand and fled and ran outside: Joseph resisted this tremendous moment of temptation when he ran outside. Joseph did what we are all supposed to when faced with this kind of situation: he fled and ran.

if you asked me if I have been overcome sexual sin, here is how I would answer: For most of my life up to a year and a half ago the answer was no, it was a besetting sin (self sex, pornography, and others). About two years ago I decided that I would overcome the self sex sin and others. I rejected thinking lustful thoughts, looking at pornography, looking at women with lust. I can tell you for certain it was sheer pain, probably one of the more painful and difficult things I went through. A short time later after I decided that I had engaged in this sin (far too long), there was an encounter with God at the same time. There was with the pain but alongside the pain was the wonderful presence of God. I realized I loved Him far more than I loved the sin. I looked forward to the temptation just to have His company. Will He do that for you? I don’t know, I think He has a vested interested in you His child, so the likelihood is He will. The pleasure of His presence during the temptation has somewhat faded in recent months but I already have the knowledge that He has given me the power to overcome this sin and I do, and the pain has subsided in resisting the sin.
A couple of months went past between the start of experiencing His presence during the temptation and when as I was worshiping, that He said to me “I love you and you love me”. Was that a reward of obeying Him in the sexual area, quite possibly. I can’t say yes because I don’t understand His thinking, its too far beyond me.
Lately I have realized how greatly He loves me, and I love Him. I am precious to Him. We cling to each other. It has become a love affair of the best kind.
