Why did Jesus rest on Sabbath in the Grave after salvation was paid for?
If nothing else you have persistence, even if what you're saying is mostly out of ignorance.
Why did Jesus rest on Sabbath in the Grave after salvation was paid for?
Same hereAs a child, some weeks i didn't want to keep the sabbath. My selfish flesh wanted it's way.
But as I've come to know my saviour and Lord, I've come to look forward to the Sabbath.
When you love someone it is a joy to spend time with them.
Love is the centre of the law, and i thank God for the gift of the Sabbath.
I like to spend time in nature and the scriptures on the sabbath. And fellowship with other worshipers.
The fact is.....we, the redeemed, have already entered our eternal Sabbath rest. No need for a specific day any longer.the Lord and the Apostles and the people He said this to were all jews , born under the Law.
gentiles never had the Law and were under it.
no Sabbath required for salvation through faith in Christ.
He wasn't resting or in the grave. To those that claim the law ended at the death of Jesus.
Why did Jesus rest on Sabbath in the Grave after salvation was paid for?
Please explain??He wasn't resting or in the grave.
Jesus came to free us from sin....People who rigorously observe the sabbath are putting themselves back under the Mosaic law, which is antithetical to the freedom in Christ
His body was in the grave. He was in Paradise according to what He told the one thief on the cross. Please explain??
The bible tells me that Jesus died Friday afternoon at 3pm and rose early Sunday morning.
Think about the manna from Heaven... every day the manna was given except the sabbath and on Friday they collected enough for Sabbath and it did not decay or stink.
Exo 16:20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.
Exo 16: 24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. 25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field.
JESUS is the bread of life. He is the living word, and He did not decay on the sabbath.
The resurrection happened after the Sabbath was over.
This doesn't line up...His body was in the grave. He was in Paradise according to what He told the one thief on the cross.
I almost fell out of my chair in absolute shock when I first discovered that SDA's teach that near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday.Did you know that the Seventh Day Adventist will judge us on this and tell us that worshipping God on a day other than Saturday Day is actually worshipping the devil and taking the Mark of the Beast?
I'm telling you what Jesus said. You can do with that as you will. This doesn't line up...
Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, to day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee to day, shalt thou be with me in paradise.
It is a known fact that the commer , , , was added. And Jesus could not have been talking about going to heaven that day.
Luk 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
These verses prove that Jesus did not go to heaven until after He talked with Mary on sunday morning.
Would you say that was rest? His body was in the grave. He was in Paradise according to what He told the one thief on the cross.
We shall see, I guess.I almost fell out of my chair in absolute shock when I first discovered that SDA's teach that near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday.

Jesus rested from His work of salvation when He returned to heaven. That's why He sat down at the right hand of the Father. His sitting symbolized a place of rest. His work was accomplished.Would you say that was rest?
That's a good page by Brother Anderson.I almost fell out of my chair in absolute shock when I first discovered that SDA's teach that near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday.

I completely agree with what you have stated.Jesus rested from His work of salvation when He returned to heaven. That's why He sat down at the right hand of the Father. His sitting symbolized a place of rest. His work was accomplished.
Rest for us is found in Him. This is the offer He extends to us in Matthew 11:28-30.
For the thief on the cross it was certainly rest. For the first time in his life he knew peace with God. It is a wonderful picture and reminder to us of the glorious rest that is found in the Lord Jesus Christ. A rest not only from the burden of sin, but an ongoing rest in life as we continually lay our cares on Him.
Just keep the idea in your mind.....I almost fell out of my chair in absolute shock when I first discovered that SDA's teach that near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday.

If I thought you would hear my arguments I would be glad to share with you on this topic. I believe you are convinced what you believe is correct and nothing I might say would be considered. That's why I haven't chosen to engage on more than a cursory level.Just keep the idea in your mind.....
If it doesn't happen then they are not Gods people. But if it does happen they are being lead by God.
So we will see if laws are promoted to worship and rest on Sunday. ??
We can have rest every day of the week. Rest in Jesus comes when we accept by faith the promises He made. For the thief on the cross it was certainly rest.
Exactly. Remembering the Sabbath rather then man made traditions and commands of men.I also believe that our Remembering to keep the Sabbath set apart from other days speaks of our obedience to the Creator that sent His Son to die for our sins as opposed to following manmade traditions and commands of men. This is my testimony that I have learned in the LORD.
