Works can't save or add one thing to Christ's finished work.
Wait! How is that true, when you Contradict yourself???:
Anyone who says they have faith but has no works is deluding himself.
Au Contraire!: When I (and ALL New believers) believe, placing faith In
Christ and HIS
Finished WORK On Calvary, For ETERNAL Life, Before we
DO ANY works, we are Already "Deluded"? We're NOT saved? What?

I hardly don't think so...and there IS Also:

GRACE, Peace, and JOY In THESE, Before ANY works:

God's OPERATION On all HIS New-born babes In Christ
+
God's Eternal Assurance

Unless we are bashed over the head With religious "does and don'ts"
(works?) Before "we can Even Get Out Of The Gate" of our NEW Life
of "faith and fellowship" With our SAVIOUR, Jesus Christ!

Amen?

I don't really understand what you're taking issue with. All I can say is if you have a problem with what I said you really don't understand the gospel as much as you might think.

But remember what Jesus said: If you love me, keep my commandments

So believing Christ died for us means nothing if we don't prove we actually love Him.

A a True believer whom God so Loved that He gave His Son to die for, they need not worry about persevering to the end, because God will see to it out of His Faithfulness to them 2 Thess 3:1-3

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

The word stablish is in the future tense and indicative mood, God is acting, and the word in the greek is stērizō :

  1. to make stable, place firmly, set fast, fix
  2. to strengthen, make firm
  3. to render constant, confirm, one's mind
We can take God at His word

There are requirements for someone to come under condemnation. I proved it using the Bible.

I know, agreeing with the what I am showing you in the Bible is uncomfortable, but it's there nevertheless. I'll show more from the Bible about not being born under condemnation. There's more, too, but I'll save it for later.

Babies aren't born with awareness, what may be known to God isn't plain to them, nor has His divine nature and power been clearly seen or understood, therefore they actually do have an excuse for not believing in God. Babies are not capable of understanding general revelation, denying Christ before men, or rejecting Jesus.

Romans 1:18,19
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.
Babies aren't born with awareness. And therefore are not born believing Christ. Therefore, they are born in condemnation.

If they continue in this condemnation and don't come to saving Faith they end up in Romans 1:18-20

Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

How much proof is required? Where is the metric in scripture?

True Believers for whom Christ died are preserved and safe forever because they are Christs Seed whom God promised they shall endure forever. Isa 53:10

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

Now Christ is the antitypical David whom God made a Covenant with, and Christ being born of the seed of David Rom 1:3

3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

God made Covenant with Him Ps 89:3-4

3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David[Christ] my servant,

4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

Now it goes on to say, in regards to Davids Seed or Christs Seed Isa 53:10 this:

Ps 89:27-36

27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

Christs seed will, shall break, transgress Gods laws, for they are sinners, however God in mercy will chastise them, but will never suffer His faithfulness and mercy towards them to fil, and will cause them to endure forever, even as Christs Throne.

So the believers eternal security is foundational in Gods Covenant Faithfulness to His Son. God has sworn their eternal security. Compare Heb 6:13-18

3 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

God takes His swearing upon Himself very serious and that's where their eternal security lies!

What did he mean by "faith", and what did he mean by "worthless"?
Dead faith is faith that is not being operationalized, it is dormant.

If faith is not being put to use, it is useless.

Faith saves us here on earth in real time from bad out comes.

If faith alone could save in any sense, it would have some worth, no?

Of course, but faith has to be directed to the right person and His work. We have faith in Christ Jesus and trust what He states is true, He paid the debt on our behalf in full.

......we are saved by Grace through faith not of works lest any man should boast.

Works can't save or add one thing to Christ's finished work. However, works are evidence of our faith. No works, no faith. Anyone who says they have faith but has no works is deluding himself.
Can you please tell us what works prove you are saved, and also the number of them to meet that proof.
