Homosexuality is a sin in the flesh. Like Paul wrote that fornication was worse cause it's in the flesh. I definitely believe they can repent and be saved but maybe should remain unmarried. They tend to have aids and other diseases. They defiled the flesh. This goes for sodomy too. It gives aids and disease and is unclean. Maybe it's best they don't marry.

Not if they remain in their current condition and lifestyle. According to 1 Cor. Chapter 6

1Cor6 is in contention. I've covered this before. It doesn't necessarily say that homosexuals were included in the Corinthian church.

Well, would you allow that homosexuality can include an immoral sex act?

I've noticed that I don't know whether or not it's irrevocable.
it says God turned them over to the very desire they wanted; HE just stopped dealing with them. The sin brings torment therefore could lead them to repentance.

Of course. The Bible makes it clear that homosexuality is in itself a sin.
Okay... I thought you were excluding homosexual "intercourse" as something other than a sexually immoral act, as 1 Cor. 6 tells us to abstain from. Not sure why you've label it "in contention"?

What I meant was - Paul saying "Such were some of you." doesn't necessarily mean that some of the Corinthian church were previously homosexuals.
Consider the context. Paul was pointing out that the congregation was acting like the World. Some were committing immoral acts like having sex with their mothers-in-law, suing each other in pagan courts. Paul was saying, paraphrasing - "Look at what the world is like.". They're doing all the things mentioned in 1Cor6.
He didn't necessarily mean that every sin mentioned in the list had been committed by at least one person in that church. He was just talking about the World generally.
He could have, given enough time, mentioned all 613 laws in the Mosaic Law. Would that have meant that the Corinthian church had collectively committed acts against every law! Of course not.

I've come across differing views on this and would like to see others' biblical evidence one way or another, if any would like to comment.
It is not the unforgivable sin but God does refer to it as an abomination worthy of death. Lev 20:13

God forgives any sin upon repentance including any sexual sin.

If I have to totally stop sinning or I will never get to heaven.. them I'm doomed. When I thought like this so many years ago He didn't talk about that He talked about what is righteousness and how do I get it by believing in Jesus.

I remember this preacher who preached against homosexuality also said or personally believed they gay lose their reward. I agree with that but reading the word for me its like seeing this red flashing sign to STOP sinning for we were set free from all that. As if the fight to not sin is more better then the flip side of walking in sin.

Since this is about homosexuality I never met one that knew 100% it was a sin and believe in Jesus and didn't care. I would question if they truly loved Him. As for ever lasting life not mine to say. I believe so many will just make it in.

I've said this before, but I will say it again. We have a man in our congregation. He is very flamboyant. I was sure he was gay, until I met his wife of 25 years, who was an amazing person. They spoke at a conference in homosexuality, about not engaging in this sin. The man had been gay for many years. When Christ saved him, he walked away from that lifestyle and never went back. He is in my home group, I've played music with him, and he truly is led by God.

I met a man in this forum who had been a homosexual, but he turned his back on it, too! His whole life is serving God! He told me he was no longer same sex attracted, and hoped he would meet a woman and marry her.

That's just two people I know about. I realize that many gay people are stuck in that role, and others do it because it is a popular role to play, just like the transgender fad among teens! But remember:

"Nothing is impossible with God!" Matt 19:26

Homosexuals can be saved but if they are willing to turn from their sin
All of those that God gave to Christ to die for their sins on the cross are saved eternally. and they were all sinners.

God saves (delivers) people eternally before they repent. Eph 2:5 - Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ.

God also saves (delivers) his born again children when they repent of a sin that they have committed. Rev 2:1-5 - God telling those of the church at Ephesus to repent.

The salvation scriptures are interpreted in the Greek as deliverance scriptures. We have been delivered one time to inherit eternal heaven, and we, as children of God, have been delivered many times as we sojourn here in this world, by following God's commandments.

I think everyone has the right to be given a chance. Like when we voted for Barack Obama , at a time when Blacks had not been given the chance to Preside over this country.

I dont think God wants Christianity to be a religious communism or dictatorship. Because if He did, then we would not need a Bible for example, as then everyone would be saved as we would all follow Him. Think about it: Idi Amin , Saddam Hussein , etc got all the votes. But did their people love them? No. He wants us to love Him and to accept Him in our hearts. He gave us free will and so we can accept Him in our hearts and love Him.

If we turned our backs on the people who live in a way we disapprove of, those people will distrust us and they will not seek us out, or God for that matter. God doesn't turn His back on anyone. We can;t turn our backs on those people because someday they might be reaching out, looking for help, and then if our backs are turned to them, we'd be the ones missing that opportunity to help them.

So, a lesbian will govern Oregon? Let's pray for her, and lets pray for her to be a good governor.

the problem is we are not turning our back on the SIN we are accepting it in the House of God and teaching it is love and not sin.

We pervert the love of God at the expense of His Holiness and are creating and leading into more sin. There is nothing more racist than hiring a person for a job just because they are a certain color. The idea that The former POTUS should have been so because there was never one before is foolish.

The question was about sin, not skin.

No. The idea of not giving others a chance is foolish.

Not accepting others is not love. It is another sin. Our pride leads us to not accepting others. Racism is not letting others in. Letting others in because they are of another color is not sin but acceptance and love.
