The fact that this is a true statement:
Much of science, including the heliocentric model, has been created as an enormous deception that is intended to hide God.

is a big part of why this is a true statement:
"Truth is available only to those who have the courage to question whatever they have been taught." - (Author Unknown)

God created the moon to give it's own light.

God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. And He made the stars as well.

17God set these lights in the expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth, 18to preside over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
God made two great lights. It does not say He created the moon to give its own light. To the ancients (and to the ignorant..) it LOOKS like the moon gives its own light, but we know (or should know..) that the light we see coming from the moon is light reflected from the sun.

The tempter came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
But Jesus answered, “It is written:

‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’

Not accurate

Jesus says in Matthew 24 AND Mark 13,
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

Isaiah says in chapter 13,
"For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine."

Ezekiel says in chapter 37,
"When I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light."

Joel says in chapter 2
"But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,"

if you take these to mean that men misunderstand what God said, okay, but this is completely wrong in regard to Jesus.
the word Jesus uses in both cases is the specific word to identify "something of itself" or "its own" meaning specifically "belonging to IT!"

It doesn't matter whether the bible specifically says "God made the moon to shine by itself." the bible clearly teaches that the moon "Gives its own light" NOT that "it gives the light of the sun".

Jesus specifically SAID SO

if you claim otherwise then you are specifically and unequivocally calling Jesus, and by extension, God, a liar.

You said: "if you claim otherwise then you are specifically and unequivocally calling Jesus, and by extension, God, a liar."

This is the whole purpose behind the ancient cultic belief systems carried over into today and modernized.

Daniel wrote of a Image that would rule the world until the Rock cut out of the Mountain struck it at its feet.

thanks. i try to stay well versed, LOL.
those were a few of the specific mentions of the moons light. there are many others talking about it turning to blood or going dark. but these got the point across.

God bless brother.

You're right.
From their perspective, the moon did give it's own light.

i have stated numerous times that this is not a Salvation issue.
Then don't insult me by calling my views "Unbelief 101". You and I interpret certain passages of Scripture differently. Leave it at that.

This topic is about the evidence against a globe earth spinning thru space
Right, so stick to the topic, not insults toward those who disagree with your position.

The problem here is your insistence that your interpretation is the only correct one. It isn't. Deal with it.

Flat-liners cannot answer that question but will say the plane is actually flying in a circle and not in a straight line.

this is a trick question. go check out emergency plane landings and you'll get that question answered. many flights do fly straight, but they do not actually fly true east-west headings.

as for circumnavigation, The North pole is at the center. thus any circumnavigation from any point of East to west or vice versa, is pretty much the only way it can happen.
there has never been a north-south circumnavigation. why is that?

Dino,

The problem is and always has been from man's unbelief in what God has spoken.

The Egyptian/Babylonian heliocentric science is at at odds with Scripture.

i firmly believe that Scripture and Physics do not agree with a SWBE (spinning water ball earth)

On this subject i choose to stand upon His Word = Post 1,068

i also have investigated the undeniable evidence that exposes a fake moon landing that was filmed on earth.

NASA/TV/science fiction do not own my mind but my God always speaks Truth from His Word.

The more everyone seeks to attack in ungodly behavior, denying the Word on this subject, the more i SEE why God has said what HE said and how the world along with many christians believe all that the statue in the Book of Daniel tells them.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.

When the Holy Spirit says HE made the sun and moon stand still (they move thru the sky) = i believe HIM.
When the Holy Spirit says the earth does not move = i believe HIM
When the Holy Spirit says the love of Christ surpasses knowledge = i agree to the love of Christ

When the Holy Spirit says be like 'little children' = i let go of the balloon and watch it rise up into the sky and then i go and play in the water that always seeks its own level everywhere on earth 24/7 = always running downhill but never uphill.
