But if you know the bible, we understand that Christ was faithful unto the death of the cross.
Yes Christ was faithful unto the cross,. so why do so many of God's, well intended children, try to take Jesus "faithfulness" in John 2:8, and claim that it is their faith, when Gal 2:16 reinforces the fact that it is Jesus faith that justifies his children?
It is my understanding that you are not rightly dividing the truth, when you cannot see that the scriptures plainly reveals that there is a "world" that God loves, and there is also a "world that God hates"
The world that God hates;
Matt 13:38 - The field is the world, the good seed are the children of the kingdom, (the world, that he loves, of his children), but the tares are the children of the wicked one ( the word of children that he hates).
John 14:17 - Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive.
John 15:18-19 - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated me. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own, but ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
John 16:19-20 - Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and he said unto them, Do you inquire among yourselves of that I said, a little while, and ye shall not see me, and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? Verily, Verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice, and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
John 17:9 - I pray for them, I pray not for the world, but to them thou which hast given me.
John 17:14 - I have given them thy word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Rom 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world
1 Cor 2:6 - Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect, yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world that come to nought.
1 Cor 2:12 - Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1 Cor 3:19 - For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.
1 Cor 5:9-10 - I wrote unto you in an epistle, not to company with fornicators, Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters, for then ye needs go out of the world.
Gal 1:4 - Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world.
Eph 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
James 4:4 - Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is an enemy of God.
1 John 2:15 - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him
1 John 3:13 - Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
1 John 4:5-6 - They are of the world, therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God he that knoweth God heareth us, he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the Spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
1 John 5:19 - And we know we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
