“Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:29‬ ‭

the challenge is to learn from him and keep believing when we hear that he’s ac try ally teaching us many decide not to follow him anymore. We can believe in the Jesus the Bible presents and hear what he had to say about salvstion and believe and be saved

but also there are a lot of people saying things in the world and attaching his name to it there are a lot of corrupt versions of preachers teaching about Jesus but many are presenting a different one from scripture

we can always know if we are being bamboozled because we have his own words recorded so we can know what he actually said

all we have to do the one requirement is this

“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:27-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but we do actually have to do that we have to come and learn from Jesus by hearing what he said to us that will save us if we become a true disciple a true “ student “ of Jesus we’re going to be taught by God the truth of salvstion son ll we really have to do is believe in Jesus and hear what he’s saying he will lead us home from there and it works by faith you learn and grow and learn and grow and learn and grow through life , through time you are being redeemed refined cleansed and purified in the refining fires of the gospel

we just have to really believe the gospel Jesus himself sent into the world for salvstion that’s the gift he’s offered us believe and be saved if we center on Jesus and hold on tight we’re headed home with confidence and faith in him

Matt 11:25 - At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hidden these things, from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes (new born babes in Christ).

And no man knoweth the Son, but the Father, neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

These scriptures has reference to those who have been born again, and by learning of Jesus, and following him, will give them rest from their burdens, as they sojourn here on earth.

1 John 1-3, Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ IS BORN OF GOD, and everyone that loveth him that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of him. But this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not grievous.

Actually, Jesus makes it perfectly clear as to what requirements are necessary for salvation in the Gospel of Luke, the 'Parable of the Good Samaritan'.
‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself........“DO THIS AND YOU SHALL LIVE."

It's odd that Jesus did not say, You shall be saved through 'faith alone'????????????
You are proposing that we must obey the law?

Jesus issued a new commandment under the new covenant.

John 13:34
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

We no longer love others as we love ourselves. We must aim much higher and love others in an unconditional way.

Jesus said love as I have loved you. That is divine love, eternal, unconditional love.

All of the qualities you have listed are products of the regenerated person, not products of the unregenerate. There are no requirements to get to heaven. It is by God's sovereign grace, without the help of mankind.
Obviously, we can only be saved by grace.

Though God does expect you to behave yourself as a Christian.

The tree must bear fruit or it will be cut down.

This is not difficult to see in the New Testament.

We hold two primary doctrines together at the same time.

1) We are saved by grace through Christ alone

2) We must love others as Christ loved us

Both are critical doctrines in Christianity.

What Jesus has done isn't sufficient for those who claim to be "Born Again" but are actually "Heretics".
well if they are a 'heretic' then they are not a Christian

who are you trying to scare? (rhetorical question)

and on and on and on it goes zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

those scriptures are for anyone who will believe them and respond it’s how we can come to know God is what he’s saying it’s just part of the gospel all
Of the scriptire is there for anyone who ever will believe we can accept them or reject them but they are sent out to every person in the world to hear and consider

but yes anyone seeking and finding those verses , would have been a believer in Jesus and the gospel meaning they were born again and now he’s telling them how to grow up and follow him to eternal Life

Believing Jesus is God, who lived a sinless life, died and rose again to pay for the penalty of our sins. That by believing in Him we have forgiveness of sin and eternal life.

That is all.

See John 3:16, 5:24, 3:36. Romans 10. Plus many other verses.

Water baptism is an act after being delivered that isn't about eternal salvation.

The Holy Spirit coming upon a group of believers through the book of acts isn't eternal salvation. That's a church bring formed.

Simply and purely belief in Jesus who He said He is. There can be no other way.
When the Lord tells us that we are not saved by works but by faith, I think that we must have faith in all of the teachings of Christ, not in just the fact that Christ can forgive our sins and save us. You cannot say you have faith in Christ but no faith in what Christ tells us.

The only way that the unregenerate person will consider anything that is of a spiritual nature (1 Cor 2:14) is after he has been born again with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Eph 2:1-5).

That is something that all born again people should do, but it is not a requirement to get to heaven.

Our faith can deliver us many times as we sojourn here in this world, but it is not a requirement to get us to heaven.

So.............we're back to going round and round about who is a heretic and who isn't? And what makes someone a heretic and what doesn't?

The Scriptures answer both questions.

And Jesus is the only way to heaven (or at least eternal life). (John 14:6, Acts 4:12)

1. John 14:6 Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through Me

2. Acts 16:9 For if you confess with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
OR
Romans 10:9 For if you confess with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

3. John 12:26 If any man serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there also will My servant be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

i read all 3 pages and there are literally 20 different answers.
pretty interesting just how many interpretations and doctrines exist that do not align to what the Holy Word of God claims.
a good example of just how many False Doctrines people claiming to be Christian are actually adhering to

That would be what we should do, but it is not a requirement to get to heaven.
If there was an absence of the fruit of the Spirit (love), then I believe, some would raise a red flag.

Does that person really believe in Jesus?

Has that person been conformed to the image of the Christ?

Did they receive the Holy Spirit?

Believing in Jesus is not an intellectual thought that someone had once, believing in Jesus means an entirely new creation.

It is impossible to separate the two doctrines below.

1) We are saved by grace through Christ alone

2) We must love others as Christ loved us

We are saved by faith but that is an active faith.

You must be using another version of the bible, other than the KJV, because the KJV says except by me, not through me.

That is the issue.

What if I became a Christian but never bore the fruit of the Spirit. Let's say I got drunk on most nights and mistreated my employees for decades. I believe that Jesus rose so I am saved?

Is the fruit of the Holy Spirit necessary, probably not?

i use the oldest and purest known Ancient 3rd Century Greek Text we have.
i do not use the Textus Receptus that Erasmus admitted only going back to the 10th Century and basically copying the Latin Vulgate, that had been changed since Jerome first created it, and used the Latin to convert back to Greek. which is as ridiculous as it gets knowing the difficulty of Latin and then trying to convert it back to the proper Greek.

Scripture tells us sinners who will not repent are not saved.
1 Corinthians 6:10
or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people--none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.

When the Lord tells us that we are not saved by works but by faith, I think that we must have faith in all of the teachings of Christ, not in just the fact that Christ can forgive our sins and save us. You cannot say you have faith in Christ but no faith in what Christ tells us.
But every Christian actually cannot keep all Jesus's teachings 100 percent.. although this is what we strive for.

So it comes back to Jesus saving us aside from keeping to a set of commands.

So we are saved through belief in Jesus as I typed, aside from works.

Following all of Jesus' teachings is only possible having previously been delivered from the righteous requirements of the law.

So it comes back to eternal salvation thru simple belief in Jesus as God who can save eternally forgiving sin.

Works after are the reasonable response.. not the means of getting eternal life. You can't earn eternal life.. that I'd not possible.
