Can you give an example of what you mean? An illustration.
For lack of defining any terms in the OP, If God proclaims a person a heretic then he's a heretic no matter who elses opinion states otherwise.

Same with justified, sanctified, born again, child of God. If God says a person is Born Again and Saved it doesn't matter what anyone elses opinion is on the matter.

For example - The Lord tells a person "I will never leave you nor forsake you". Then many, many "scholars" attempt to show this person that their salvation can be lost by what they do or do not do. Whose opinion matters here and whose doesn't? As should be abundantly obvious, the Lords Words carry infinitely more authority than all the pretend scholars put together.

Love you...

I appreciate your reply. Sounds like you see those who argue against OSAS as the real heretics. Well, God told me I'm not a heretic so I guess that settles it.

I don't think using your limited knowledge to argue against certain doctrines means God says you are a heretic.

If that were the definition we all had to fall under then God would declare us ALL heretics. Because none of us have 100% understanding of ALL the doctrines of God.

I think it is GOOD that people oppose doctrines and that there are many opinions on matters. It MAKES people read the bible and pray and ask God for Wisdom and Knowledge and Revelation in Christ.

Or else just bask in their own silly opinions. Whichever they desire.

Here's the wordsoup if anybody was interested

haireó: to take, choose
Original Word: αἱρέω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: haireó
Phonetic Spelling: (hahee-reh'-om-ahee)
Definition: to take, choose
Usage: I choose, prefer.

138 hairéomai (a primitive verb, always in the Greek middle voice) – properly, lay hold of by a personal choice.
[The Greek middle voice emphasizes the self-interest of the one preferring (deciding) to grasp or take.]

hairesis: choice, opinion
Original Word: αἵρεσις, εως, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: hairesis
Phonetic Spelling: (hah'-ee-res-is)
Definition: choice, opinion
Usage: a self-chosen opinion, a religious or philosophical sect, discord or contention.

139 haíresis (a feminine noun derived from 138 /hairéomai, "personally select, choose") – properly, a personal (decisive) choice.
139 /haíresis ("a strong, distinctive opinion") is used in the NT of individual "parties (sects)" that operated within Judaism. The term stresses the personal aspect of choice – and hence how being a Sadducee (Ac 5:17) was sharply distinguished from being a Pharisee (Ac 15:5; 26:5).
[As a feminine noun, 139 (haíresis) highlights the subjective (individual) nature of a specific (divisive) opinion.]

Do you have scriptures to uphold the statement you have made that Solomon was punished by eternal hellfire?
We have scriptures that indicate those that turn away from God, and serve other Gods, will not lose their eternal inheritance of heaven.

Deuteronomy 8:19

Acts 24:14 and Titus 3:10 Only places where the word is used but these folks are enjoying the argument and the facts would interfere with that.

yes I agree , but what I’m saying is we need to all define heresy the same way for that to actually be applicable we don’t

so many chrirtians think in them is the whole truth and nothing but the truth and if they think something anything else is heresy we subjectively judge it based only on our own minute understanding

So for instance if anyone is saying you don’t need to repent sin is okay now youll Never perish now “

We know that’s heresy because we heard the truth

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what I mean is if we want to “call
Out a heresy “ amkng the church we need to all define heresy the same way and understand what it means and how to correct it

we also Have to distinguish between a false teacher , and someone trying to discuss scripture they acknolwedge they don’t fully understand heresy has to be someone claiming to be speaking Gods word and insisting they are a teacher or prophet with some distinguished calling to teach

sometimes in this forum most times actually we’re just having discussions about things we understand differently and we are t claiming to be a teacher at all but are just in a forum discussing the scriptire and have strong opinions as we discuss sometimes what we say is taken out of context and then made to be some false teacher when that’s not ever what someone’s claiming to be themselves

I totally agree that if we see someone spreading a lie and claiming it’s of God we need to speak up subs not necessarily cknromt or anything but just put the truth out there with what hey said so people see the difference and have the choice to choose what Jesus taught or what the heretic is saying

anywhere you have the true gospel spoken you’ll also have opposing ideas and understandings spoken to constradoct ever since the fruit in Eden

Gos said “ the fruit will kill you don’t eat that particular fruit but your free to eat of all and all things are yours “

Then Satan said “ no the fruit won’t harm you it will make you wise and great like gods “

now they had a choice of what God said or what thier enemy said though they were unaware we are not we are well o formed and enabled to choose Christ and his word of life

it’s the same with the gospel Jesus sent this word out

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

whether you get specific like Matthew or general Like mark

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus sent this witness out

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

since then Satan has been saying “ no that’s not true that doesn’t apply anymore to you listen to
My ways instead hear my word instead this isn’t for you

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

listen to me instead I’ll tell you how to be saved and have eternal Life

this isn’t for you

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46-49‬ ‭

“listen to me instead your saved by grace through faith that has nothing to do with what Jesus said “

that’s all Satan can do now is convince us to not believe what Jesus said will
Save us heresy is anything trying to convince us the gospel Jesus spoke isn’t for us or isnt how to be saved
Every time I read a phrase such as "so many chrirtians" [sic] (probably meaning "so many Christians") I stop reading, as the posts, including this one, are wholesale judgments of the body of Christ. It is just wholesale condemnation of people whom the writer has never met. Shameful and unChristian.

So, the better and more "Truthful in love" way to discuss, is to ask
questions about "who, what, when, where, and why" about Scriptures?

Instead of being judgmental, Correct?

Perish = death = separation. When a born again child of God commits a sin, they separate themselves, from their fellowship with God, temporary until they repent, because God will not fellowship sin, even turning his back on his Son during the three hours of darkness, on the cross when Jesus bear the sins of those that God gave him.

So, where is the scripture that indicates that Solomon will burn in hellfire?

1 Kings 11:4
“For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.”

This does not indicate that he will burn in hell. It indicates that he turned away from God. We all turn away from God at times. Surely you are not one of those that thinks they don't ever sin.
