The phrase 'sea of glass like unto crystal' makes me think of ..........Rev.18:18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. ........The gold in these verses are like clear glass. Verse 11 also mentions the jasper like crystal. These would be what science calls allotropes of gold and whatever the elements that make up jasper. I just briefly checked Wikipedia on some of this and don't see that a crystal or what might be a 'clear as glass' allotrope of gold has been realized as of yet but maybe scientists are working on it.

Check out Ezekiel 40 forward paying special attention to the East gate within the temple see if you find anything of value but also …this is cool and sort of shows the relation of the prophets and revelation I was speaking of

I get the feeling that some time waters refer to Living Waters from Christ, maybe on the cross when they pierced His side, and/or representing the Holy Spirit. Maybe even two years ago, I read some Psalm about waters being made available to the wild asses in the mountains, and it would remind me of some one line that I read in a book somewhere years ago. e.g. An autobiography of Robert A. Millikan, (RAM), Robert Andrews Millikan The Nobel Prize in Physics 1923. Born: 22 March 1868, Morrison, IL, and he had one line in the book from Shakespeare, "There is a Divinity shapes our ends, rough-hew them how we will", Hamlet. And even just now looking at that line I ask is it Biblical and is it about free will? Also I never noticed about his initials before now RAM. But I remembered that line for a lot of years and it's also possible a little of that Living Water sustained one of God's wild asses. So now I wonder about (Ezekiel 10:19 And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD’S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.) and (Ezekiel 11:1 Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the LORD’S house, which looketh eastward: and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.) 25 men, princes and the wheels and above the glory of God??? I resemble that remark about the knife too. Just that meditation is required to get the meaning of scripture. I was reading Psalm 80 just yesterday and vs. 8 mentions the 'vine coming out of Egypt' and I looked up the commentary of Gill........
and planted it; the vine, the Israelites, in the land of Canaan; see Exodus 15:17. Jesus had to live and die and be taken to the throne in order to give to spirit to men who believed the gospel ( male and female )

I heard a preacher on tv say the book of Ezekiel is mostly "end time prophecy". What could end time mean? I have heard some say end time means after the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem 70 A.D. and I think I heard some others say the time we are now living in and I think I heard another say sometime around 1870 started end time. So what gives here? I know there are verses that tell us not to listen to a lot of these wanna be prophets. Right? It may be that I also read the commentary of Albert Barnes on Bible Hub concerning the book of Ezekiel and he states that the time it was written was very close to the time of the first destruction of the temple at Jerusalem. I think this is the reason that this book is considered prophetic for "end time"

This was so that the rebellious house might or might not hear and might or might not go the right way. The temple is a picture of believers since the Bible says that we are his temple. As such, we find that the book of Ezekiel is a picture with a lot of parable language or metaphor language or mystery language (however you like to call such language) that shows a physical temple but it is really a picture of believers. As the Bible seems to show that there is a falling away from the faith among many as the church age progresses, you would be able to say that it is an end times sort of book, but it would be relevant to all Christians throughout the church age. The book addresses those who prophesy falsely among the house of Israel (meaning those who misrepresent Christ and his gospel during the church age) and also holds out hope for the remnant that is true to Christ.

Thanks for your reply birdie and I get the feeling that a lot of these cults here in the U.S. use that language of parables to recruit members. Probably the same everywhere in the world but possibly greater in the West. I know Muslims have some similar things, cults that is. I keep thinking that maybe one day the Holy Spirit will be sent to some Muslim country, Afghanistan maybe, and open their eyes. Muslims do a lot of law keeping and it seems their blasphemous view of the Son of God, Jesus, is the only thing that keeps them from being a 'great nation'. I have read some place in the OT that Esau was blessed to be a 'great nation'. ??????
