Actually, the Bible does say Jesus is at the right hand of God, which is a position of power, a position of power given to Him by the Father, so He is second in command. That is explicitly what the Bible teaches:
1 Corinthians 15:27-28
For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

Verse 28. Son Himself is subject to the Father BUT not as the creatures are, but as a Son voluntarily subordinate to, though co-equal with, the Father. In the mediatorial kingdom, the Son had been, in a manner, distinct from the Father. Now, His kingdom shall merge in the Father's, with whom He is one; not that there is thus any derogation from His honor; for the Father Himself wills "that all should honor the Son, as they honor the Father" (John 5:22, 23 Heb 1:6).
