I don't know if the rules here allow for counterpoints to the Trinity doctrine.
I did not see any counter points to the Trinity :) but many have tried :)

The videos I posted cover a lot of arguments to the doctrine. But of course they are coming from a Trinitarian point of view.

Feel free to bring your arguments to that if you want. I'm thinking of starting a new thread, because Furtick is far from the most important thing we talked about in the thread so far.

I did not know this was going to be a post on the Trinity. There are many things of the Eternal God that can not be fully known by anyone today. With God who is Infinite and we being finite, it is prideful to think we could ever know all there is to know of God outside of the three ways Ordained by God for us to know HIM.

1. General revelation = by what God crated i.e, Creation
2. Special revelation = His word
3. By Illumination - His Sprit through a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

The word Trinity is not in the word of God. However, it is a theological concept that I believe is supported by the word of God.
Even with the Trinity seen in the word of God, we are still limited in all we can know.

Therefore, we must approach The Eternal Godhead: Humbly, Reverently, and scripturally.

Human reasoning fails on all accounts. Many profane(make common) the living God by trying to simplify The Eternal Godhead for the human mind to understand.

The Holy Eternal Godhead has been compared to water, ice, and steam. And egg, yolk, and shell. Etc...

Man's intellectual attempts to explain All God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are? Impossible.

Yet division and pride cause both sides to profane the Living God. Paul said in 1cor 13:12

12 For now, we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

Job did not know God to the point he could answer God when HE questioned him, Moses asked Who do I say is sending me? Joshua did not know the Commander of the Lord's Host, and The Disciples did not recognize Jesus after the resurrection until he spoke to them.

Do we think our theological terms impress the Eternal Godhead? We argue over the words manifest and persons from a position of limitation. LOL.
I don't see anyone trying to impress God with anything. I'm just stating common Bible verses and what is widely accepted by orthodox Christianity.
The only one who seems to be trying to impress anyone is the guy who has a keyboard player and drummer building up excitement in the crowd while he builds up to his blasphemous acclimation when he says,. "I Am God Almighty!!!"

Maybe we should be surprised that he did not die on the spot and worms eat his flesh.

Well, we don't know if the counter to the triad doctrine can be debated so we'll leave it at that.

what i really don't get, when you use the most original Greek available as Jerome used in 350 A.D., is that God is clearly Father-Son (Word John 1:1)-Holy Spirit in One Deity of Almighty God. and the Book of Hebrews claims at least Jesus and the Father are the Same Identical Image of Substance, rather than person.

so if Substance is the factual original wording, than how is it wrong to call the 3 Manifestations of the One True God? it does not take away from each being independent, nor does it remove personality status like Him-His-He. and it directly aligns to the actual Bible, more original than today's version. i don't see how it is Heresy if you are using the very Wording of God's Holy Word. and multiple times we even read God was Manifested, that is literal and factual Scripture.

we've made a War on Words, but as a trinitarian, I actually (am) using words not found in Scripture. so how am i Biblical and those who use Manifestation are Heretic who use the factual words of the Bible?

Listen, do take it personally. Yes, many from a prideful position say things as was said in this video and try to make things jive, like throwing jello to the wall to see if it sticks.

The comments are :

1. non-exegesis
2. disrespect for the pulpit
3. sows discord and causes confusion.

Remedy:

1. you correct him with the word of God
2. they don't listen; take a witness
3. they refuse to leave them alone, and late, God deal with them.
4. teach new chritians why it is error

was reading more about TD Jakes beliefs. this is definitely interesting. it's about the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 10:
19 But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what you shall speak; for there shall be given you in that hour what you shall speak;

20 for you are not the speakers, but it is the Spirit of my Father that speaks in you.

TD Jakes points out the letter (S) in the Spirit of the Father is capitalized indicating this means the Holy Spirit.

so is TD Jakes saying the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father?

but more importantly, is that what Jesus is saying in Matthew 10?

It's simple really anyone who denies the essential truths of Christian dkctrine/teaching and teaches against the essentials of faith is a false teacher.

Anyhow regarding jakes I think this short article sums it up nicely.. Run from jakes as fast you can!

https://www.challies.com/articles/the-false-teachers-t-d-jakes/

Challies done a series of false teachers from Joseph Smith, Ellen White, benny hinn etc. Short and informative.

good article and thank you!

but what is Jesus saying here, since TD Jakes brought up this question.

Matthew 10:

20 for you are not the speakers, but it is the Spirit of my Father that speaks in you.

what is Jesus saying here?

why is the Spirit capitalized?

all throughout the Bible only time Spirit is capitalized is to indicate the Holy Spirit.
is Jesus saying the capital (S)pirit of my Father is the Holy Spirit?

I would say pretty much similar to Romans 8:9. (capital S).

Anyhow it's extremely late here so here's snippet (quote) regarding this phrase.

"When the moment comes, it will not be the apostles speaking. It will the Holy Spirit speaking through them. Jesus calls Him the "Spirit of your Father," which is a beautiful picture that God the Father will be with them, connected to them, and speaking through them through the Holy Spirit. The disciples cannot yet in this moment likely imagine the great power that will become available to them in Christ through the Holy Spirit after Jesus leaves the earth (Acts 1:8; Acts 2)."

1. And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Jesus is saying two different things.

Verse one was areal-time command as Jesus sent them to perform then before the cross it was the authority of Jesus

verse 19 is in the near future after he has died and risen and ascended.

MATTHEW 10 IS parallel with John chapters 14 & 15 concerning the Comforter. God is Spirit and HIS Holy Spirit is near even though God is everywhere. God is omnipresent yet HE is near ( by The Holy Spirit) IN ALL who know the Lord Jesus

Trinity Moment #9
Jesus didn't speak of Himself from John 12

John 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own; but the Father dwelling in Me does His works.

explains the video. no, Jesus did not speak. John 14:10 says it's the Father who is speaking for Him.

yes, HE did :) in verse 7 "my day of Burial".

Verse 23 But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.

Verse 26 too:)

26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

i'd pick better videos. we all know Anderson uses the Textus Receptus. which came directly from a practicing Catholic. if i ever thought Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Wesleyan, Pentecostal were teaching from a Catholic viewpoint, out of the same Bible minus the other Catholic Books, i would never go to Church again!

Oneness "proof text". That "pruuvs" that Jesus is the Father..... according to the local preacher in the parking lot, brother John.

but you don't understand, that video proves the Father is both in heaven and inside Jesus doing the talking and miracles. that video gives more proof for the oneness than the trinity.

Anderson is so full of himself he's giving the enemy freebies thinking he is destroying them

😳 It's bad when he talks about context and then proves he doesn't understand what Jesus said in verse 7 sustains what he proclaimed in verse 6.
