"The days being shortened" meaning, at first seemed like a no-brainer, and I assumed that God shortened the days so that Satan could not take away the salvation of his saints.

We must remember that God does things perfectly and cannot be thwarted by Satan. God uses Satan as an agent in his salvation plan.

Now God's ways are past finding out and oftentimes God gives us just enough information to keep us within his will. God told Daniel in Daniel 12 who complained that he did not understand, to go his way until the end of time.

Dan 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Dan 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

In a similar manner, we must have patience and God eventually will bring everything into full focus. Do not listen to man, only wait upon God.

I think Abraham listened to his wife Sarah whose patience ran out and thus Abraham had a child who he thought would replace the promised one. (That is called trying to help out God) God does not need our help as he does everything perfectly. 25 years might have seemed like a long time to wait but to God his appointed times are perfect. They happen in the fullness of time and not one second earlier or later.

So, concerning "cutting the days short" means exactly what it says.

Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

The word "flesh" means having breath in itself. That is every beast, bird, creeping thing, man etc.

So the verse above is not talking about soul-saving but rather physical or body saving. Two completely opposite things. (This is what it means by being blind, interpreting the bible in a contradictory manner)

I am not sure i want to explain anymore. This is going to cause an upheaval as I will be going against the grain as most people believe in Israel as a nation, their so-called resurrection in the last days (with the rebuilding of Jerusalem etc).

But for those who believe that the next coming of the Lord is the final coming and not an earthly one, I will say this.

This shortening of the days was all about saving you in today's end-time for your name was written in the lamb's book of life. In other words you are a remnant of the 1st Century's great tribulation. God made sure that a remnant flesh was left so that his future elect saints, 2000 years later would be able to come into his kingdom.

I won't say anything else except that I am not a bible teacher and was not sent by God to teach anything but only to be a light to God's salvation. I have gone overboard and I am sure that I have confused most. Therefore each man will have to do the hard and difficult work to put everything together for himself.

If Jesus is coming to earth to set up His kingdom why would He take us away from that kingdom.

The bible does not use the word rapture and I do not believe in a future rapture.

Daniel 12 needs to be prayerfully read and understood in light of the entire bible. There are 2 terms that needs to be understood and just as Jesus told his Apostles when they could not cast out a demon, he told them that they needed to fast and pray for that special situation.

The first term is the scattering of the holy people and the second term is the passing away of the daily sacrifice. Even in the 1st Century these terms were somewhat difficult to understand. But today they are impossible to understand unless the truth has set you free.
It's application today is different today from the days of the 1st century. This is because Jesus said so. He told the Samaritan woman that things were changing and that the change was already here.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God's description of the mark of the beast is one that has to be understood in the light of all scripture and not in isolation as to the meaning of the actual words.

One should understand that the mark of God on one's forehead actually should be understood as the mind of Christ. The mark of God on one's hand is actually hands that do the work of God.

Vice-versa the mark of the beast in the forehead should be understood as having the mind of Satan and on your hand as doing the work of Satan. (Of course you must understand that what Satan does and think appears to be good. That is the way of the beast - deception of the highest order, so that even the saved could be fooled). Truly good is going to be called evil and evil called good in these last days deceiving even the most astute.

You are right that mark goes all the way back to the garden. Here is wisdom. Revelation 13:18 Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

God is infinite and God does not give us details about most things that do not concern us. For example when Peter was inquiring about John's role (John 21), Jesus told him to mind his own business and to just follow him, Jesus. John had a completely different role to play (and I am guessing here, possibly being in the spirit and writing the book of Revelation), including the books of John. John being somewhat more perceptive reported to us that Peter was incorrect in telling others that he (John) would not die.

Peter's job was to feed the sheep. Jesus told Peter 3 times feed my lamb, feed my sheep, feed my sheep. This appears to suggest that Peter had 3 different groups or folds to feed. We know that 1st & 2nd Peter is addressed directly to us in the last days, although 1 Peter 5 seemed to be written by Sylvanus who addressed an existing church in the 1st Century. The 3 groups I can only guess who they are, possibly the gentiles, the church and the world (the last days that we live in).

Again I am not preaching or teaching but only stating what I have gleaned from my study of the word of God.

Ooops, I almost forgot Bishop Gene Robinson. He was a twice married (to women), a self admitted alcoholic, and active homosexual. He claimed that God was doing something new and blessing homosexual love.

It seems that the Episcopalian Church goes out of it's way to select liberal anti-Christian progressives as their pastors and leaders. Don't know why. The good news is that their church/movement is dying out, won't be around in a couple of decades. And that's a shame because The Episcopal Church used to be a conservative foundation/bedrock for Christian teaching.

I knew a nice Christian couple a number of years ago. They were active Episcopalian church goers. I asked them how they could remain in a church that performed LGBT wedding rites and had strayed so far from Christ and Biblical teachings. They said they enjoyed singing in the choir. Hmmmmmmmmm???????

The student newspaper published a letter to the editor about every other week from an Episcopal priestess. I think her name was Jezebel....lol...just kidding about the name. She was a militant Lesbian before that was popular. I'm not sure if she called herself "father " or not, but the senior male Rector dressed like momma and called himself Pappa.

The key is "I never knew you".
They were never saved.
My eternal life is in the hands of Jesus and no man can take that away and neither can Satan.
Satan has deceived many into believing they are saved.
Those who place their hope in good works, baptism, keeping commandments, living a sinless life, keeping the faith. None of that will save you. Only faith saves.
