Out of kindness - yes.

Also, out of kindness, I will warn you that - if that is the extent of the effort you are willing to put into your own research of the topic (and, it pretty-much holds true for any topic) - you are not going to get very far in your research...

"Just sayin'..."
You’re the flat earth authority so I just thought I’d go directly to the source. From my perspective I did good research but needed it certified by you.

Oh MY GOD!!! HE'S RIIIIIGHTT!!!!
And no anchovies.
OK they're still there of course but they're swimming around.

Not laying across Bermuda. One dimensional flattys and thinly sliced, gazing up at us with that accusatory, why did you do this to me, look in their eye.

Anyone who may want to look at a FE map in the future - save yourself some time - bookmark that page and write "Flat Earth maps" in the 'note' blank.

If you find a better FE map out on the internet somewhere - bookmark it!

You must have missed my post # 372. I'll go over it again.

The map in your link is not a FE map. It's an azimuthal equidistant projection of the globe. A map of the globe taken from
a perspective above the NP with it's surface flattened to a plane to make it possible to view a 3-dimensional surface in 2
dimensions. That's why everything looks distorted with no consistent scale.

You can see an azimuthal equidistant map from above the NP, SP & many other earth locations -

Here: https://www.flatearthlab.com/WebGL/#

There is no FE map that has been charted by explorers, surveyors & cartographers.
They are using a flattened out view of a globe earth map.

My understanding is that flat maps were always used when navigating by sea or by air (now satellite is the main method of navigation). This is contrary to what would be most accurate, were the Earth a ball-shape. There can be many excuses made up for this practice (as the one you describe). But the truth is, a globe map would never have been that difficult to manufacture, were it the most accurate. The explanation that most makes sense for globe maps not being used in navigation is that flat maps are more accurate, and the explanation for this that makes most sense is because flat maps better approximate the Earth's real shape.

Almost Heaven West Virginia
I have a couple of flat topographical maps and an atlas. They are flat. When traveling through the hills of West Virginia, winding down mountains and hiking hills, it's anything but flat. I've heard things like the United Nations symbol/ "map" is proof that the earth is flat. That's why it seems funny. I don't want to troll my flat earth believing friends. I've met a few in my area that treat it like a religious dogma. They take it more seriously than the fundamental doctrines of the faith, yet tell us that people won't get saved unless they are convinced of their theory. I haven't heard that here yet, but I've heard it. Any clues why there's such passion about this one topic?

It's key to the Satanic deceptions. So there are all sorts of forces engaged to continue it (ball-earth theory), including mixing truth with heresy (i.e. Earth is flat, but this is not a salvation issue, the same as Creation/Evolution).

Yes - fake-news and fake-science are both under the umbrella of all-things-fake - AKA - '[The] Lies of Satan'.
If you ask a child a complex math question, and they give an incorrect answer, is that the Lie of Satan?

The explanation is much simpler than your hypothetical tripe: flat maps are easier to create, store, and transport. Further, it was common throughout history to convey written/drawn information on a flat surface (scroll, parchment, dust on the ground, etc.).

A flat map has one purpose. Ease of use when travelling. It can be laid out flat, on a flat surface.
All navigation for ships, submarines & planes is done using spherical geometry.

Either you believe spherical geometry is faulty and avoid maps based on it.
Or you use those maps and admit they are accurate.
You can't have it both ways.

I agree that it's not a salvation issue.
The few I've talked with thought it was important as to whether or not people believed the Bible and get saved, however upon questioning they did not understand the gospel. I don't know if it's common in the Hebrew Roots churches, but that's what the one's I've had conversations with were.

I listened to this sermon a while back. This preacher has an interesting perspective that you might appreciate.

I'll bet he (and the other self-proclaimed FE proponents) use regular globe-earth-model maps and associated technology when traveling. ;)

Don't waste your time listening to Steven Anderson. Rather, find someone who speaks the truth and backs it up with godly character.

No. It is an incorrect answer.
So too, people may be wrong about the shape of the Earth without having bought in to "the Lie of Satan".

Maybe you should tone down your rhetoric. There's no need to imply that others are diabolically deceived just because they disagree with you.
