Don't get me wrong - I too believe in fighting for freedom, when called upon. I support our troops but you seemed to have missed my point. Your picture sends a confusing message when you are addressing believes or attempting to further the Gospel. It is a symbol of worldly power and not the power of God.
You stated: " ..a prince of peace when possible." That makes God sound weak. God needs no assistance. If it was His decree to bring about peace, today, there would be peace. For all things are possible with God. When Jesus Christ returns, He will not be using the worlds war machines to bring an end to His enemies and the enemies of Truth.
Sadly, the United States, while a great nation to live in, has long forsaken the idea of being a nation under God. God's message is removed from every aspect of Government under the guise of separation of Church and State. It's courts are not about Justice but about Law. People want to kill unborn children and our Politicians wish to protect that right, rather than condemning it by reminding them of God's Holy ways. Society is becoming ever more so lawless. Through it all, the Hypocrites in Washington open their sessions with a prayer.
Indeed the times a wicked - even so - come Lord Jesus.
