Oh now I see what you’re saying here. Okay here are some high level points.
1. Science can also be used a type of religion for a few people. Obviously that’s also something taken to extreme.
2. Scientists usually are atheists but a few like Francis Collins are also Christians.
3. Many scientists in history have been believers. Now it’s not popular for them to believe because it’s a career-ending move.
With all that being said, science is basically us, people, trying to figure out how things work in this existence. So when you take all the extremes out and all the agendas and all the politics science remains a tool which glorifies the work of the Creator.

I disagree with #2. Most of the world is not atheist, it makes no sense that most scientists would be.
Frankly, most people who claim to be scientists work as technicians playing inside creations halls. I can't think of many people who do pure testing day in and day out a.t.m.
But yes, I agree with your sentiment. We're only gonna end up proving what is Good, if it's allowed.

Here are a couple of interesting links about this subject of subatomic particles related to CERN.
First is the double-slit experiment. It’s a short 5-minute video.
Basically people thought that the fundamental building blocks are solid objects but extremely small. Turns out God’s Creation has many surprises in store. The particle can become a fluid or wave-like particle like the ocean or like water, or it can become solid like a golf ball DEPENDING on whether a conscious observer (like us) looks at it !
This is a great mystery.

When you look into all the discoveries we’ve made, you can also make better educated guesses as to what the spiritual realm could be like and how some miracles might happen.
For example, taking into account what we know about the double-slit experiment we could say that God chose to reveal something extraordinary to 40,000 people in Portugal in 1917 in what is known as The Miracle of Fatima.
Because The Sun did not move out of orbit for the whole galaxy and other people in the world. But it moved for these people.
So they were shown some imagery which could also be the same as explaining the imagery of what John saw for the apocalypse. God revealed a realm which is hidden from us and only a Creator has the power to show us what we need to see according to His will.
In trying to answer what realms are and what they might be, the answer to that might partially be in what the universe is made up of.
70% is dark energy, 26% is dark matter and only 4% is matter which we are made of that we can see, feel and touch. This is also a great mystery. The majority of the universe cannot be seen by us. So maybe this is where some of these other realms might exist.
I personally think that God exists everywhere inside and outside of this universe but even inside our universe there may be hidden realms.
All of this can also bring some unification with people like me who doesn’t take the 6-day Creationism literally and for other who take it literally. Because as others have mentioned “God may have stretched the heavens to make it appear old”.
This is consistent with the double slit experiment and it’s also consistent with the ingredients of the Universe seen and unseen.
So all this does is glorifies the work of The Creator.

Science was once the field of believers, who believed that Gods created all things and that research was uncovering the mysteries of the glory of God. Now much science is predicated on the assumption that there is no God. I'm all for cancer research or for ways to improve health and well being. CERN and it's like are of zero practical value. Likewise the pursuit of evidence for dark matter and dark energy. All it does is give someone the opportunity to say "I was right!" while collecting a million for the Nobel prize. Science is like every human pursuit, some good, some evil - just like the Tree of knowledge in Eden. For sure it is not God's way.

the truth is that it's about 50-50 split between people who study & work in sciences that believe this revealed order is evidence that the universe has a conscious Creator and people who don't. it's a very loud minority that are actively & vocally atheist. the Christians & other theists in the sciences are meeker, much quieter, and don't make good TV so you just never hear about them, or at least rarely.
our perception of 'science' as a body is skewed by two very vocal minorities, in fact:
i have studied and worked in sciences for some 25 years
that's necessarily a matter of faith.
