I don't know how common this is in other countries, but at least in Finland, quite many people actually call duct tape "Jesus tape". I guess it's because it can save you in many difficult situations, but one could also find a rationale for that name from Colossians 1:17.

Oh wow! I had never heard it called that! lol. Interesting!!
 
I have heard it called 100 mph tape, duct tape will hold the parts on a car in a race over 100 mph, under 100 mph masking tape will do.
