OK, now you are out and out admitting that salvation can be by works.
NO WHERE in the Bible will you find that unbiblical idea.
Eph 2:8,9 is clear; salvation is by grace through faith, and not of works.
You are in conflict with Scripture on several levels.
I'm glad you finally admitted your unbiblical view that salvation can be by works.
As to your question, NO, of course Jesus didn't contradict Himself. And what you think Matt 25:34-36 says ISN'T what He said. You are not reading the passage correctly.
Not only have I read it, I'll quote it:
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Where does this passage say that Jesus saves those who do this? You are really taking liberties with the verses you read.
Jesus is describing what saved people were doing.
There is nothing here about salvation by works. No wonder you are so confused. You are reading verses very incorrectly.
