The last time I had a beer, I'm sure I could feel it after one sip. I think it's next
month that it'll 33 years since I stopped drinking. I don't miss the hangovers!
Wow, that is an impressive number and hearty congrats on your long-time sobriety!

I marked my eleven year milestone this past December :D

I had eight years my first time round, and then relapsed, after
which I was in and out over a period of another eight years.

In other words, like dirt?
Don't forget, we are made from the dust of the ground... :D

I realize due to its location in relation to our eyes it kind of hard not to
look down on dirt, but still... we must not look down on dirt!!! LOL

Another thing I have a soft spot for is toasted cheese and avocado sandwiches. Other people think this combination is, well weird but I really like it.

I like macadamia nuts, but I'm not sure that I'd like them combined with/within a Yodel.

Lol, no the macadamia nuts in the salted caramel icecream so you have salted caramel icecream with macadamia nuts. It comes ready made like that.

The Dunkin' Donuts out by me sell toasted bread with either just avocado on it or with both avocado and bacon on it. My son and I have had both, and they're both good.

I've never tried toasted cheese and avocado, but that sounds like it might work.

Oh, okay.

Yeah, that definitely sounds like a much better combination than Yodels and macadamia nuts.

I obviously missed your quote of me, and I thought that you were talking about Yodels.

lol.

I know that I've been talking about relationships in a negative light lately, but it happened.

Totally unexpectedly, but it happened.

I'm not joking, nor am I proud of what I'm about to say.

However, if you cannot confess before the saints when you fall into temptation, then who can you confess to?

So, there I was...just walking down the aisle at my neighborhood supermarket and minding my own business.

Next thing that I knew, there they were.

They?!?

Yes, they.

Looking at me lovingly and longingly while stirring up animalistic desires deep within me.

What could I do?

I mean, a man can only resist so much temptation, right?!?

Anyhow, I took them home with me, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Yep.

I bought the whole box of Yodels, and I just finished eating two of them.

Not only that, but I ate them BEFORE eating my dinner, and I loved every single bite.

Wait, what?

o_O

What did you think that I was talking about?

Yodels rule, and ho-hos drool!!!

:)

You weren't really tempted - or you would've eaten the whole box of 'em... :D

Well, I did eat two more of them before going to bed last night. Anyhow, after I'm through with this box (4 down, and 6 to go), it will be a long time before I eat any junk food again. I truly transitioned away from junk food many years ago, and I normally eat something much more healthy like fruit for a snack or dessert.

Yesterday, I truly was surprised by the box of Yodels. Someone had removed a box from their normal locale, and it was left on top of a shelf down a wrong aisle. I'm pretty tall, and when I turned the corner, there the box was, on top of a shelf, at my eye level, and kind of staring me down. Seeing how I've been talking about Yodels here of late, I stopped by the junk food aisle, and I picked up a box. They still taste good, but I must admit that I was very cognizant of the fact that I was basically eating a piece of junk with no nutritional value as I was eating them. I'll definitely transition back to fruit when this current box is finished. Unless, of course, I'm somehow confronted with a box of butterscotch Krimpets...my other weakness.
