Possible but not probable.

I'm thinking it's more of a stream-of-consciousness thing, with strong random word association. You say something, it reminds the person of something else and POP it comes out.

I am not sure. I thought a man cave was the backyard shed that a man hangs out in with a pool table, TV etc.
A men's shed is where a group of men hang out in and work together making things like tables, things out of wood etc. Like a community thing. That is what it is here, I am not sure about America.

Sounds the same as Australia.
 
man cave is just got room for one man
mens shed is several men all together.
