Would you defend your family against an intruder ?
I believe prayer and spiritual weapons are more powerful than a gun. So, yes, I am defending my family every day on my knees!

To neglect prayer and pick up the sword is foolishness!

so you will not protect your family from a bad guy would you call the cops to do your duty . 1Ti_5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Joh_18:11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

A religious man is on top of a roof during a great flood. A man comes by in a boat and says “get in, get in!” The religous man replies, ” no I have faith in God, he will grant me a miracle.”

Later the water is up to his waist and another boat comes by and the guy tells him to get in again. He responds that he has faith in god and god will give him a miracle. With the water at about chest high, another boat comes to rescue him, but he turns down the offer again cause “God willgrant him a miracle.”

With the water at chin high, a helicopter throws down a ladder and they tell him to get in, mumbling with the water in his mouth, he again turns down the request for help for the faith of God. He arrives at the gates of heaven with broken faith and says to Peter, I thought God would grand me a miracle and I have been let down.” St. Peter chuckles and responds, “I don’t know what you’re complaining about, we sent you three boats and a helicopter.”

Do you read minds? No? Then kindly do not tell me what you think disappoints me.

Yet you do have some thoughts similar to what the 'freak' (your words) profess. Most people here will tell you that they follow Christ. You are not alone.
Sorry if I offended you! We can add the NAR to the long list of groups like Baptist, Catholics, Protestants, etc. All denominations have false doctrines, but they think their organization is the leading and true group.

I read in another post that the NAR has a woman who declares herself to be an Apostle. That is nothing new. False teachers assume roles for which they are not called for.

I am an eyewitness of Jesus Christ, and yet do not call myself an Apostle. Like Paul the aged, I also have a thorn in the flesh. The doctor calls it advanced pancreatic cancer. It really hurt just like a thorn in the flesh. The chemo shrunk the tumor so that now the pain is gone thank God! But no, I still don't call myself an Apostle.

2 Tim 3:10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

Bear with others. she willing to call herself an apostle, if she feels happy.

We can't read others mind and predict the future, so we can expect the results of NAR.

I won't use the word false teacher casually, which can only cause strife among Christians. Then the word fake teacher was abused for any reason.

I absolutely refuse to involve myself in politics.
I refuse to vote.

Politics was the vehicle that was used to kill Jesus.
The jews wanted to claim that Rome killed Jesus.
Herod made a mockery of Jesus.
Pilate washed his hands of the whole affair. But made a Friend of Herod who ridiculed Jesus.

Basically they made Jesus the political football and kicked him around.

And then on top of this...

Politicians are notorious for saying anything that they think you want to hear to get themselves elected. What they really do is anyone's guess. How can I vote for anyone in a system like this? It really doesn't matter who I vote for...they will ALL do as they please and can profit from once they get elected.

So my personal opinion is worthless...and likely dangerous.

I know about NAR. I was asking you what you believed. I am very sorry to read about your health problem. I never said you were anything though. I simply asked a question and you became very defensive. If the doctor called your cancer pancreatic cancer, then that is what it is and not a thorn in the flesh. We are not biblical characters, nor Apostles who have actually seen the risen Christ.

I think it best to just let this one go as there seems to be gray areas here that you believe are from God and sorry, but I do not.

just an observation, but every time i see democracy in scripture, it doesn't seem to be a very good thing... ?

e.g. Barabbas was spared by '
popular vote' ((Matthew 27)) and the people in the wilderness wanted to elect a man to lead them back to Egypt ((Numbers 14))

maybe someone could point me to some scriptural example of '
people choosing their own leadership' that's not wicked?
i am sure i have not thought of everything

People who think like you support the murder of the unborn .
excuse me but abstaining from voting is not tantamount to supporting things like this.

if 'failing to stop abortion' = 'fully supporting abortion' then your accusation is equally valid against God Himself, who allows such things to go on even though He is certainly able to put a stop to the whole world at any moment in time.

in fact He will, but just because He isn't intervening to prevent evil from existing does not make Him the author of evil.
this is essentially what you are accusing @JohnDB of for '
not voting R'

i do not believe it is sin to fail to vote R.
i am sure R would love for us all to think it is sinful not to do everything in ones power to put & keep R in worldly power.

heck Coca-Cola™ would love to convince you that you will go to hell if you drink Pepsi™

this, to me, however, sure seems like 'making merchandise of the gospel'

I reckon there should be a random ballot and every state or nation gets a govt of 120 people picked RANDOMLY from the population every 3 or 4 years lol

Then ppl cant be accused of just picking the ones they like.

The people that govern then have to leave their jobs and families for 3 years, they'll get food and board and expenses paid but no salary, and their dependents will just get an allowance for 3 years.

could work...

so if you get picked and alloted to look after the hosptials thats what you need to do even if you got no experience with hospitals. Which isnt that much different to how people are picked today

The world would be a much better pace today if Trump hadn't been cheated out of his second term. If you disagree with that, well, I don't want to hear about it.
I think you have forgotten that Kings, Rulers and Political rulers, reign or have their offices at the pleasure of the Lord. This is confirmed throughout Scripture. If Trump was removed from office, then it was within God's Plan and Providential Government. Are you so Pro-Trump, that you have lost sight of the heavenly things?

We may have difficulty in seeing how one thing leads to another but be assured, God is working all things to His Eternal Plan. Declaring the end from the beginning. It is God's plan for the world to become more and more corrupt before the days of final judgement.

Two days before the election, the Lord clearly told me that it had been decided in heaven that Trump would be president for another term. I was shook when He didn't get in. We are responsible for that.
Many people on this site act like teachers, always telling others something they should or shouldn't believe. Always judging negatively, as in, "Have you lost sight of heavenly things?" What kind of a question is that? You don't even know me. Rarely any building up.
Heavy on criticism, light on love.

Please consider and pray about the question presented in this topic.

Then answer the question in good faith and with a good conscience.

I distance myself from politics. I am not registered to vote. Jesus is Lord and he rules over all at all times. All people should serve him.

Politics is just another cause for division and it diverts many from the truth.

Can you stay away from politics and point others to the Christ who is the one in charge?
I removed myself, from the political landscape, about three years into my thirty plus years of being a believer. I could not in good conscience, vote for or have anything to do with such greed, corruption, lies and ungodliness.

If a Politician, were a true Christian, and spoke the Truth - they would not last long in Politics - if they could even get started. The art of Politicians, is to compromise. What Christians could compromise the Truth? Or what Christians could compromise and please men and not God?

Even the Apostle Paul rebuked the Corinthians, for taking matters outside of the Church:

1Co 6:4 If then ye have to judge things pertaining to this life, do ye set them to judge who are of no account in the church?
1Co 6:5 I say this to move you to shame. What, cannot there be found among you one wise man who shall be able to decide between his brethren,
1Co 6:6 but brother goeth to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, was asked questions involving Politics but in every case He deflected these questions. The closest He ever came, was saying: Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. He never spoke against the Roman occupiers - nor did He teach His Disciples to do so because He always respected His Father's plans.

Believers are instructed to keep their eyes on Heavenly things and not the things of the World, which will soon be judged.
