Well, you're probably gotten all the answers already, but here's my quick overview.
Why do men and women hate each other?
1. Categories of Examination:
This question has a different answer for different categories (modalities) of examination. We can simply look at the question in different ways... in relation to different strata of life and reality. At different "levels" we'll see different versions of the same problem... the same problem but in different places, and in different states.
I'm going to address 3 basic categories in which we can easily see the problem in different states.
The categories are:
theological, eschatological, and cultural/sociological.
(There are plenty of other categories, but this should be enough to get started.)
2. Theological Reason:
The theological reason is just sin. Humans have sin, so they tend toward wickedness, and pride, and destructive behavior. It's just sin... humans harm each other because of sin, and sin always spirals downward if unchecked.
It's that simple.
Being mean to each other is just sin.
3. Spiritual/Eschatological Reason:
The Spiritual/Eschatological reason is Satan at work.
Satan, as we know from scripture, wants to harm mankind. If he wants to harm mankind at the individual level, then destroying relationships is the perfect way to bring endless pain and misery. If he wants to eventually destabilize the entire world, so he can rebuild the whole world in his own image... then it's a brilliant plan to attack these same things. The building blocks of society are marriage and family. It is well known that families are the "glue of society"... when families breakdown, so does a society.
For Satan, destroying relationships and family is like a bullet that ricochets and hits everything: it brings individuals extreme and long-term misery, and it eventually destroys entire civilizations.
4. Cultural/Sociological Reason:
The Cultural/Sociological reason is a bit more complicated.
We have a situation where Neo-Marxism (injected with a healthy dose of postmodern irrationality) has worked it's way into the feminist movement, and thus created 3rd and 4th wave feminism, which are incredibly vicious and toxic. Men simply had REACTIONS to this, and one of those reactions was the MGTOW movement. MGTOW is not really a thesis in itself, but is purely reactionary. It is a bad reaction to something bad in the cultural. But as we all know, if someone treats you badly, and then treat them badly in return, everything just escalates out of control.
THAT is what's happening in the culture between men and women.
* Men to Blame?
What if someone wants to argue men started it all?
It's kind of irrelevant now. Regardless of whoever initiated the very first problems between the sexes, it''s irrelevant to what we see today. Nothing in early feminism or early anti-feminism has anything to do with this new and strange hydra. Third wave feminism has virtually no resemblance to the original feminist movement, or feminist goals. It is just pure Neo-Marxism, built on those false dichotomies of power dynamics and oppression, and then injected with a good dose of postmodernism to keep it as irrational as possible. It's just a weird and toxic creation.
(And I'm not trying to be one-sided, the men's groups that hate women are crazy as well.)
5. Can We Fix It?
I don't see how.
We can certainly fix it in our own lives and relationships, but I don't see how we fix something in the culture that is merely a symptom of other problems. And this IS just a symptom. Third wave feminism and MGTOW are just a symptom of Neo-Marxism and Postmodernism, which have inevitably led into all manner of ugly, toxic, destructive aberrations of society.
- We can pray. Pray a lot. All things are still possible with God. I see no human remedy, but God can still do all things.
Those are my quick thoughts.
It's probably poorly explained, but maybe it will help you get the issues better organized in your head.
