How about one that matches your speed?
You run up at 3kmps, and it goes down at 3kmps? You increase to 5, it increases to 5. You'll get nowhere. Go to the mall, and walk the same speed up the down escelator as the escalator goes down. You will stay in teh same place in relation to top-bottom of the escalator.
Actually yes, It's one of several philosophical arguments against an eternal universe.

im wiserhaha I think so LAD. Jimmy obviously if you go up an escalator at 5kmph and it's going down the same speed you'll go nowhere that's basic stuff, I managed to get to the top as I'm sure many have so I must of been going faster, on Dawkins he isn't my Messiah I don't need to have one in my life it's pretty good as it is.

As for the messiah comment, Dawkins is just about worshipped by many of his fans. Atheism saves a person in the short run from dealing with the reality of a Holy God. The New Atheists, such as Dawkins have popularized atheism in the last few decades. Increasingly so the last decade, and have in a round about way, "saved" athiests from the reality of a Holy God.
But like I said he isn't my " Messiah" most Atheists don't worship him but appreciate his work, there's no Atheist temple with his image to pray too, It's just simply a man who to us makes sense I don't live by any of his rules or commandments I just think he's a smart guy.

Sure, atheist have a temple they worship in and an image they pray to. They are no different than any other sect. Their god is themselves, and they worship themselves. They are their own saviors. But what man has saved himself from death? Not so smart of a guy who does this.

Haha. Tell you the truth, I have two brothers that are Atheists. so this idea is not foreign to me. They also think they are in control of their lives and this is how one becomes his own god. You do, in fact worship yourself. You worship your ideas of right and wrong.
You don't have any control over your life my friend. Not in the least. If you did you could heal yourself when you are sick, or raise yourself from the dead. You can't even determine the weather and the seasons. You are subject to vanity as we all are. And you can't even make your own decisions. It is more sad than laughable.
