You are completely right, he built up his faith and time is necessary and studying the Bible and trying to get good information from the good examples of the Bible but also from the bad examples and you get many of both! And try to live according to them! Read and read again and immerse ourselves in their whole lifes not only pieces! And check by ourselves like the people of Beroea according to Acts 17:11: "These were more noble than those in thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Christ came "he has sent me to proclaim deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind to release the oppressed"

To apply this to today.. its ignoring OT promises.. I can see them now.. and then what Christ already did. He already set you free.. He already give you all power all authority over the enemy. His kingdom is not divided. They made fun of Christ for this.. .. He made them sick then goes around healing them. You can go do anything bad you want and guess what.. God allowed it. He never told you to do it.. never gave you permission yet seems He did nothing what so ever to stop it huh. Satan is the god of this world.

Everything Job went through God already gave an answer to. That woman that just believed..her faith that all she had to do was touch His clothes. He told her your faith has made you whole. Whos faith? Did not Peter and John also in Acts tell us.. we didn't do this.. it was FAITH in that name. See Christ already came set the captive free. Satan has no right to do that unless WE allow it. So what ever it is.. find the promise that GOD already spoke.. then no matter what you see hear or feel.. THAT is the answer. That is what you show people that are suffering hurting.. not because of GOD allowing it <--not written. You can pray seek and ASK GOD what He meant at any time.. yeah there ya go. God knows you already.. He knew you from the start..before all this was. He knows how faithful you are will be.. when you fall or not. Yeah there is nothing He already does not know about you. He knows what you can stand against and what you cant. The enemy ..he comes to steal kill and destroy. You were promised up to 70 years by GOD! Hold GOD to His word. Sorry not here to offend.

I understand looking at this.. the faith what not.. oh praise GOD. its just the answers always shines.. its like He says to me focus on the answer.. to fully understand this.. comes ONLY by the sweet holy Spirit

When I think about all the events that Job came through because of the devil, I can only say it was a hard experience for Job but he learned a lot about him and the others as a consequence. I wonder if he kept living the same life or if he made adjustments especially being more careful with people and the one he wanted to help and also with his friends. It is related with the dilemma between quality and quantity and doing the right thing at the right moment and being more efficient when you act and not losing your time.

Definition of a bet:

risk a sum of money or valued item against someone else's on the basis of the outcome of an unpredictable event such as a race or game.

In fact, it had nothing to do with a bet because God knew Job and the book of Job is a personification of Faithfulness. The faithfulness of Job is unquestionable, Job breathe faithfulness. For him, his relationship with God is fundamental and he doesn’t know anything else. He is calling for God when he is in darkness and when he deeply feels pain and unrest. It is so strong and powerful that when God doesn’t answer him he is completely lost and he thinks it is better for him to die. For him there is only one way and I want to walk this way forever. It is so refreshing in this tasteless society and I want to feel alive like Job and not dead!

To prove Job’s faithfulness God is ready to accept everything but of course the devil can’t kill him so the devil tries to annihilate Job’s relationship with God and he is vicious. He goes so far that Job would like to die because it is unbearable for him! So many human beings have left God so the devil thinks it will be easy to do the same with Job!

How does God treat the upright and the wicked, according to Bildad? Which category, by implication, does Job fall into?

He favors the upright and punishes and rejects the wicked who perish. So he thinks that Jod is wicked. That’s the normal way among men. It is quite easy to cindemn someone without knowing all the elements or just listening to some people. It also indicates the difference between human justice and God’s justice.

Explain the warning Job gives to his friends. Why are they walking on thin ice, according to Job?

He says they tell lies about him, they don’t help him, it would be better for them to keep silent, they don’t speak properly about God, they try to fool God, but he will rebuke them, they accuse Job but they are not right.

According to liberation theologian Gustavo Gutierrez, Job's moral vision expands over the course of the book. At first he is preoccupied with his own woes; then he enlarges his lament to include all the poor who suffer at the hand of the wicked rich. Do the speeches by Job in chapters 21 and 24 support Gutierrez' claim? Look also at chapters 29-30.

I don’t understand because as God says there is no one like him on earth. As he said before, he has always tried to help people especially when they need help. Even his companions recognize it. He keeps thinking the same all the time. And he complains because he suffers a lot. He suffers all the time and the pain is unbearable that’s why he wants to die. But he really cares for people.

God hammers Job with a series of rhetorical questions. If God allowed Job time to respond, how would Job have to respond to each one?

God tells Job about his creation and all the things he did and of course job was not there and couldn’t do anything and doesn’t know anything.

Without this connection, he can only get lost. It is like seeing in the darkness! Without this connection, he can’t see in the darkness anymore!

Job is not a NT dynamic when it comes to satan.

Job never knew it was the devil doing all that to him.

God never clued him into it either.

FF to the NT.
WE are AWARE who our enemy is.
We have weapons job did not.
We have armor. Job was wide open.

There is even more that i did not list.

Job is good for us in the dynamic of perseverance.

Job is also good for our example of the destruction of the flesh.

Does God answer Job’s charges?

In all that God says in his speeches (Job 38, 39, 40, 41), he makes no reference to Job’s troubles, or even to the reason why Job was suffering. The book of Job deals with the perplexing question of why there is evil and suffering in the world. Some have argued that the presence of evil proves that God cannot be all-powerful and all-loving at the same time. If God is all-loving, they say, then it’s clear he does not have the power to suppress evil. On the other hand, they say, if God is all-powerful and yet allows evil to run rampant, he cannot be all-loving.


In these divine speeches, God demonstrates that he is all-powerful and all-loving, and leaves the paradox unresolved. He never really answers Job’s charges. But neither does God reverse his original assessment that Job is blameless. In the end, God stands by Job and rebukes his friends, leaving their sentence in the hands of the man they had been accusing. Job then prayed for them after they offered the sacrifices God required and God accepted Job’s prayer. God finally gave Job a degree of vindication, but only after he no longer demanded it.

When we read the bible, we know that God will put an end to suffering!

Continue to pray, but don’t hesitate to distance yourself from their negativity if it is having a negative influence on you.

We can’t help somebody who doesn’t want our help. And it is easier when people help each other. To build a relationship you need to be two persons working together to get closer. And it is necessary to make some efforts.

How do you explain to an atheist that God controls our darkest days?

I’m not sure you can. Instead, I think you begin with the concept of God. Atheism is a system of beliefs. Every belief has a consequence. In the same way a non-believer has every right to ask difficult questions of a believer (i.e. how can a loving God allow evil, etc) so too, we have every right to ask an atheist about the consequences of their decisions. If someone truly believes we came from no one and we are going no where, there are consequences of that belief. No God would imply there is no Truth, no right or wrong, no moral standard. It means love is nothing but a chemical reaction and that humanity has no greater value than any other organism. Of course, most atheists don’t believe all these things. At some point they live in a way which is contrary to their belief. Find the spot and question it. Do so kindly, fairly, and in love, but ask the questions. Be prepared to give a Christian response to each question. Examples of places Christianity gives a clear answer and atheism doesn’t: Why is humanity more valuable than other creatures? Why is it wrong to murder? Why do good people do bad things and bad people do good things? Why do we long for order? Why do we ask why?

Well usually we are responsible for our own decisions ! That is what we call free will : Adam and Eve decided to go away from God, they were not robots, it was their choice and thanks to them we are where we are !

Where this commentary truly shines is in the intersection between the interpretation and the history of consequences. One may have thought of Job as a sufferer who ultimately humbles himself before the divine yet stands firm against the verbal onslaughts of other people, but this interpretation means so much more when it is more or less shared among a Jewish interpreter who grasps it as the way of a faithful Jew in Nazi Germany, a Christian interpreter who views it as the model for all facing Arian persecution in the fourth century, and a medieval Sufi mystic who uses it to encourage others to cry out in pain to God. Indeed, one might even say that this same interpretation of Job changes irreversibly after encountering these voices. Such are, in any case, the stakes of Seow’s claim.

How do we use the book of Job to prepare for future sorrows?

Learning from someone else is one of life’s great teachers. By seeing how God worked through Job’s life, we can understand how he will work with us. Many lessons from Job will apply to any form of suffering which we might experience.

We may also differentiate pain and suffering and learn how to control suffering. We also need to evacuate them by going out and revitalize ourselves through nature and peacefulness in the forest, in the countryside, by the seaside and empty ourselves. But like Job, the longer we face the source of stress, the more difficult it is going to be to go back to normal. And we will have to live with side effects !

God is with us in the midst of our storms.

The Lord is our good shepherd and He never leaves our side. He walks with us through the valleys. He restores our soul when we are weary. He leads us to the path of righteousness when we have lost our way. He gives us courage when we are scared and he comforts us when we are hurting. Our God is the God of the storm.

Yes, but we need to ask for his help and we need to communicate with him through prayer ! And it must come from our heart ! Otherwise we can wait a long time. And we must make efforts to please him !
