seriously though, he is our resident researcher on all things he disagrees with. we have been hard pressed not to agree with him as the youtube clips he posts often and with great enthusiasm, are proof of what he says

every crazy and false exhibitor of anything but the Holy Spirit, are his favorites along with extra biblical doctrine

we all advise him we also do not agree with those movie matinees, but it does not dissuade him, lest a newcomer see his productions and admire his wonderful ability to discern

there are actually some very good threads on current false movements (NAR for one and the Kansas City Prophets for another) that took place a few years back. not sure if they can still be found when doing a search, but they are very informative and accurate and backed up with actual facts and not emotional and bat poo crazy shenanigans

The "modern" use of the gift of tongues was begun on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:4) and has been practiced throughout history. The following is a link to an article that details accounts of the practice:

It is good for people to present their understanding of scripture even if some become rude and argumentative. This is because God's Word will not return void but will accomplish its purpose. (Isa 55:11)

The truth is that many are never exposed to scripture that disputes what their particular church teaches. And many times people are shocked to realize what they are being taught does not line up with the Word. Because there is only one truth. It is not wise to just accept what others or a particular denomination states to be true. We are admonished to pursue truth as revealed in God's Word. For in the end, according to Jesus, everyone will be judged by the Word. (John 12:48)

Speaking of which, You and myself were discussing how we agree with the Gift of Tongues in personal prayer life, in worship to God, and Spoken Tongues in a Church setting where we almost delved into the realm of Interpretation. Personally, I think most of the Interpretation I have heard over the years came from people who felt they had to say something, when in that moment, it would have best to remain quiet.

I've seen real Tongues end up being negated by ungodly interpretation.

But when I have heard real Interpretation, I thought about it for weeks because it left an Impression within my spirit.

The Interpretation I knew was not of God, was a claim for Church Growth, and 2 months later the Church Body split.

I really believe the Gift of Interpretation for Today suffers and those who should Interpret are afraid of stepping on someones toes. But stepping on someone's toes, I believe, was the Intention of God!

I totally believe there are more spiritual people in the Congregation than on the platform behind the Sacred Pulpit [the Place where God uses true Followers to PULL Sinners up from the PIT]

I told them that this cant be the Holy Spirit, because he would not teaches lies.
One sister asked me if it is ok to listen teachings of angels with extrabiblical revealations. And I told her that there is an different Spirit behind this teachings. She still is believing in this teachings.

Robert Jeffress claims we should not preach against Homosexuals, he is Baptist, and they have many Gay/Lesbian Leaders throughout their entire Denomination.

Same with Wesleyan, Methodist, Presbyterian, Reformed Movements.

Catholics have always had LBG&T Priests.

New Age has LBG&T Leaders spreading Universal Love.

Only the Pentecostal Movement, at less than 1% in far far far away removed movements, condone such. But Pentecostals, are the biggest believers in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit for Today.

Ironic huh?
Pentecostals believe in Modern Day Gifts and have no LBG&T Leadership.

The Others, Cessationalists, have a ton of LBG&T Leadership.

It really speaks for itself!

No LBG&T want Modern Day Tongues/Gifts of the Holy Spirit because it will cast the DEMONS right out of them.

So, which Church Denomination do YOU belong to Aidan1?
 
The Gifts have been present and in use somewhere in the world since John the Baptist was anointed I am sure. He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.
