I guess I’m not seeing a rapture of any kind. I’m only seeing a Second Coming of my Lord at the 7th Trump. The word rapture is not even mentioned in the Bible.
oh ok
There is no gathering of the bride.

Got it.

Are you preterist?
Some theory there is no rapture?

I Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

It will take less time than a wink of an eye to transform all of the physical or natural bodies on this planet into spiritual bodies. It is immediate. This transformation will occur "at the last trump," or when there are no more trumps, according to Paul. That trumpet is identified as the seventh trumpet, and we know that this is the exact moment when Jesus Christ returns to earth to establish His Millennium government right here on earth. We're talking about God's trumpets here, and Satan returns to earth in person on the sixth trumpet to deceive the entire world.

So if you're waiting for the rapture, you'll be raptured by someone other than Jesus Christ, because He will be coming to earth to establish His kingdom.

What do you do to that one?

No, I could never be a preterist.

. . .

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. -Revelation 3:10-13 (KJV)

Does this imply that the church is about to fly away and vanish? No. It means that those who have the seal of God in their foreheads and have abided in His Word, having unlocked all the Scriptures with the key of David, will not only not be tempted by Satan, but Christ also tells Satan not to touch a single hair on their heads. It is written. We Christian "bruisers" will be right here, with our feet firmly planted on the ground, marching around in full gospel armor and looking forward to the crown that awaits us. And the overcomers of the Philadelphia church will be given a new name because a wedding is about to take place, and the bride is always given a new name (the name of her husband, read verse 12 carefully).

No
There in no evidence that the last trump is the seventh trumpet in rev.

The " last trumpet" is sounded every year at the feast of trumpets in israel.
The Jews know about that.

My dear friends Charlie and Oyster--

There are numerous warnings--such as Jesus telling the apostles in Matthew 24 what was to happen to the temple and at His Second Coming. And He is coming ONLY one more time--this touch down stuff makes it three comings, but the NT states several times it is His Second coming --the whole world will see Him and He's coming with a host of angels along with a SHOUT and TRUMPET blast. There is no stealthiness in that! It is unexpected, not in secret. The flood came upon the people suddenly, but it certainly was no secret!

And the missapplied verse: "One taken the other left" actually refers back to theses verses in Zechariah:

"1Behold, a day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided in your presence. 2For I will gather all the nations for battle against Jerusalem, and the city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city. 3Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle..."--Zechariah 14:1-3 Read Zechariah and the other OT prophecies to discover more of the mysteries of Revelation.

Blessings to you both brothers and with that I bid you adieu--at least on this forum!

^ Well, I agree in one sense... the "one taken, the other left" passages are not referring to the "rapture / harpazo / snatch / caught-up / caught-away [G726]" thing ;)

(aka "OUR episynagoges UNTO HIM"... which will be "IN THE AIR"... unlike the above references which do not speak of this).

But there shall not an hair of your head perish. - Luke 21:18 (KJV)

They are unable to touch you. God tells Satan and his fallen angels to leave you alone in Revelation 9:4. When Michael kicked Satan and his fallen angels out of heaven, God gave Satan the authority to do anything he wants in that hour of temptation but he (Satan) was given explicit commands by God not to touch anyone who had the seal of God in their foreheads.

And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. - Revelation 9:2,4 (KJV)

I asked for it though, had to stick my nose in it after reading along for a while.
Lol...

However, sometimes you can get called a hypocrite for only posting some scriptures...with no personal interpretation whatsoever...o_O:unsure:

Oh, the many splendors, joy, and fun that can be had on the BDF forum.

In the words of Forrest Gump...It's like a box of chocolates.... or MAYBE not chocolates per se...seeing I love all chocolates and I've never found a bad chocolate, yet....lol:giggle:

I have already shown you that the Church is raptured BEFORE the anti-christ is revealed!

What do I have to do for you to see that? Clearly the Church is taken out of the way before the anti-christ can be revealed.
Hi Charlie,

There's a bit of a problem with your statement--who will the anti-Christ be revealed to? The 'world' will wonder after him and think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread--they will be deceived by him; there is only one group who will know who He is and that will be the Believers. It's so important to note that those scriptures are spoken to us--to warn us--unbelievers are not reading the scriptures. The identity of the individual--that is his name, is inconsequential--what is importantis that we, the believers will recognize that he is the antichrist spoken of in Revelation.

"Revelation 13:3, NIV: "One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast."--Revelation 13:13

Scripture to test scripture--isolation of verses leads to false doctrine. It's all one big tapestry--not separate bits of yarn--it is all woven together to tell God's story of redemption.
