Assyria destroyed the northern kingdom it was the second of 7 kingdoms (Egypt being the first. Babylon following her). This is what Isaiah ten is about the northern kingdoms sins. God spared Judah from the wrath of Assyrian army up Until Babylon came and destroyed Judah
I can show you its not, this is my forte/calling of over 35 years brother, in the last 5-6 years its like a video is playing and I see everything so clearly.
Let's start out by looking at Isaiah 11 for a moment, it is about the rod that arises out of the stem of Jesse and rules as an Iron Rod (Jesus in hid 1000 year reign) and we get this in verse 6. So we know Isaiah 10 leads into the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ. Remember, there were no chapter breaks. Men added them.
Isaiah 11:6 The
wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
So, with that in mind let's delve into Isaiah chapter 10:20, where we see Israel return unto God, they have yet to repent, that is why God put off the 70th week for nigh 2000 years remember? But in verse 20 they REPENT !! Thus a remnant returns unto God finally (Zechariah 13:8-9 says 1/3 repent) ib verses 21 and 22, and God shall turn from His consuming of Israel, the judgments are still at hand because Israel is still in the 70th week, but God turns from his anger towards Israel. He will then protect them from this
"Assyrian Madman".
Isaiah 10:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel,
and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob,
shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. 21
The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. 23 For the Lord God of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
THE ASSYRIAN
24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion,
be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. 25
For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
26 And the Lord of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt. 27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that
his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
As I stated, Isaiah 11 is about the 1000 year reign of Jesus (the root of Jesse). In these passages above we see a Remnant that returns unto God, we see God protecting the Jews/Israel in the same manner as He protected them against Egypt, (Rev. 12 also cites this reference) and we see that the burden is broken by the Anointing AND Gods INDIGNATION shall be quenched. Daniel 8:19 calls God's 490 year Judgment against Israel "The Indignation".
Daniel 8:19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the
indignation: for
at the time appointed the end shall be.
All you have to do is google The Assyrian, all bible scholars know this is the Anti-Christ. Hes spoken of in Micah 5 also, but that makes it very clear that it's an End Time Beast. Michah 5 is the verse about Bethlehem being the birthplace of the Messiah (which is 700 years after the Assyrians were a power. And its states THAT MAN (The Messiah born in Bethlehem) shall be the peace when The Assyrian comes into our land. So, this has to happen after Jesus' birth and death.
Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah,
yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. 3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth:
then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. 5
And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
The Anti-Christ is the Assyrian brother, he has over 30 names and The Assyrian is one of them.
A lot of prophecies, like unto Antiochus Epiphanies have a double meaning and are SHADOWS of things to come.
