I asked once I will ask again, What is the defenition of sin? And no, I am not lookin for transgression of the law. Teenagers sing the law is sin, but it is not the definition.

Sin is a violation of the moral standard that is found in holy scripture.

Because the Bible says it (Romans 11:20-22).

Rom 11 is telling the gentile church they can be cut off as Israel was as a nation. Not induvidual believers.

romans 11 is about gentiles vs jews. Not induvidual believers

Israel was cut off as a nation. And the gentiles were grafted in and pauls warning was that if the gentiles turned to sin, they would be cut off like the jews did

Not jews. In romans 11 Jews were believing jews (the remnant) and non believing jews

They had no part in being gentile

So if a person is sealed. How can they be cut off??

How can eternal life be lost? If it eternal?

How can 2 people keep a command yet one be in sin?

All you are doing is proving you do not know what sin is.

But there are many sins not found in the law

So do you want to be like the pharisees who think they keep the law. Or the tax collector who understood he was sinful. Like paul who understood even as one of the best keepers of the law as a pharisee he was one of the worse sinners?

If you follow Christ, then you listen to Him. Christ tells us about the law. We are told that Christ kept every law and told us to also do so. Christ said to be perfect. It is further explained to us we can't be, but we are taught to repent. That means that although we can't be perfect, we can want to be perfect. With that, Christ promises to make us as if we ourselves are perfect--we are perfect through Him.

Christ explained exactly what God thinks about keeping the law through repentance and forgiveness. Christ said he did not abolish any part of it, however he fulfilled it by showing us the spirit of the law as opposed to the letter of the law.

If you are actually preaching that we should consider ourselves without law then Christ says it would be better for you to have a millstone around your neck.

I believe in eternal security as it is taught in 1 John 2:17. See also 1 John 3:6 for insight on what I mean by this.

Some who think that they have eternal life do not in fact have eternal life.

The law is spiritual and applies to what is going on in the spirit.

One person may not outwardly commit adultery and is yet lusting in his heart.

While the other person does not even lust and is therefore not sinning in the slightest.

As I have said, I take into account everything that the Bible teaches about sin.

You make me laugh all your times you have posted about the law

The law was made for the sinner not the righteous

if you need the law. Then you have a serious problem.

Christ did not sin. But he did not need the law. He did what we are commanded to do. Looked to love and serve others above himself

Thats the only thing you need.

But keep on trying to obey a law you can never obey.

Eternal security means we are secure in christ

if salvation can ever be lost. THERE IS NO ETERNAL SECURITY.

there is no hope.

Unlike you I believe and preach a true hope. That hope is that we HAVE ETERNAL LIFE> not that we have conditional life

its ok. I did not expect you to. People who focus on law. Can not answer that question. Because they are focused on rules. And not on the root cause of sin.

Climb 50 feet and the actual goal is to
Climb 1000
human nature will Climb the 50 feet and stop trying. It will think it has arrived and does not need to do More. And it will boast and try to bring everyone with them while judging those trying to climb the 1000 feet

The law of liberty at the very least has within it two of the ten commandments (James 2:10-12).



And of course, that righteousness is imputed to the one who believes in Jesus Christ.

However, this is not to say that a believer ought not to seek to be obedient to the commandments of the Lord.

1Jo 2:3, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jo 2:4, He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jo 2:5, But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1Jo 2:6, He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Galatians 3:10-11
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.


This is NOT saying that if you use the words "I'm not trying to be justified by them" then working at the law to try and be obedient to it is no longer a curse.

What it is saying is that you PLACE YOURSELF under the curse when you look back to the law to try and be obedient to it. Because you can't, it is IMPOSSIBLE, to be justified by your "obedience" to the law in the sight of God.

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

This is NOT the 10 commandments. It can't be, otherwise you have James contradicting ALL of Pauls epistles. This Perfect Law of Liberty is the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. Who has DELIVERED us from the law of sin and death. Which is the 10 commandments.


Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Galatians 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Hebrews 7:18-19
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.



These all contradict the concept you are trying to make James 1:25 say.

More Christians need to understand this. I hope they are reading.

Now, if we are told to climb 1,000,000 feet when the goal is 1,000 ft., we may in fact give up at 500 ft., thinking that the endeavor is too difficult to be able to accomplish.

There are those who don't even put it that way. They say that we just need to keep climbing and we will never reach the goal.

What is the point of climbing if you can never reach the goal?

If the standard is 1,000,000 feet that is the standard. Anyone who claims the standard is much lower is deceiving others and is deceived himself

And if it’s impossible. You don’t keep trying to do it yourself you call out to God. Because he will carry you the 1,000,000 feet.
That’s why he said come To Me and I will give you rest
sadly to many people are trying to reach a goal they can never reach. So they water down the goal
And make it reqchable

In the end they will think they made
The goal Only to realize they failed. But
By then it’s too late
