I disagree-- because bible says,
"Repent,” Peter said to them, “and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."--Acts 2:38
"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come."--John 16:13
We are able to understand and receive truth via the holy spirit--people do quench the spirit by how they live and by not bothering to study God's Word----or by simply going by what they're taught without questioning it--but it is there and available to them at the moment the receive the Holy Spirit.
