God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. Genesis 2:3.
So under the Jewish dispensation, to sanctify the altar, the temple, the priests, etc.

4. To separate, ordain and appoint to the work of redemption and the government of the church. John 10:36.
5. To cleanse from corruption; to purify from sin; to make holy by detaching the affections from the world and its defilements, and exalting them to a supreme love to God.

I believe the gospel and call to follow is radical.
We do not realize how radical.
It REQUIRES death of the flesh, and, ambition, desires, impulses, etc.
But thank God it is helped by the infilling....and my movement into that promised land.

Perfect sanctification has a name
Its called Glorification.
It is what we will be when we are resurrected
Until then, we are perfected positionally. But in the process of being sanctified
For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are BEING SANCTIFIED
We will not be perfectly sanctified (sinless) while in this body. Only Christ achieved that

You are to focused on self and how good you are or how good you think you need to be.

amen Paul also said he wasn’t claiming to be perfect or have achieved it but was pressing toward the high calling of God in Christ I think we confuse sin which is the law with righteousness which comes through the gospel and belief
“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;”

In that same section you referenced he says again
“.And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law,

as long as we think righteousness is according to what Moses wrote in the ot we’re always going to look at God like we’re sinners . Because it’s giving the knowledge of sin to sinners to hold them guilty

as long as we take that law as our law we can never be free of sins dominion it will remain ever present with us because it is for sinners to restrain tbier sin within them and not act in it.
when we come to God by what Jesus said in the gospel and look at righteousness his way , it isn’t about restraining the sin in you , it’s about eliminating the spiritual causes of sin rather than restraining them and not acting in sin , Jesus doctrine leads us out of the snare
By addressing the root issues in our heart
lust , don’t allow it to dwell
In your mind and heart , greed don’t allow it to rule you , hate and grudge bearing don’t allow it to fester and cause sin towards those we dislike or have something against ….he’s addressing what causes us to sin offering us a way to break the chains and be aware of what’s really happening

Heb 10:14 (kjv), For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
No, what the scriptures actually say, in the kjv.
However, I notice that you have rejected the kjv for a modern translation, as concerning Hebrews 10:14.
In doing so, you have heaped for yourself a teacher to tell you what your itching ears want to hear.
If you are captivated by an addictive behaviour, God can set you free. If you indulge in that behaviour after having been set free, you will be entangles again in a yoke of bondage.
For example, if God sets you free from smoking, smoking a cigarette afterwards may be the start again of the same pattern that had you addicted in the first place. It is important, therefore, that one avoid the things that once held him in captivity.
The Hoy Ghost is described as living water that satisfies the soul.
When we are satisfied by the living water, we will not be drawn or tempted by the toilet waters that the world offers us to drink.
As long as we are being sustained by the toilet waters of this world, we will thirst again.
But when we partake of the living water (the Holy Ghost) we will never again thirst for the toilet water that this world has to offer.
