would it be of any use to quote the actual meanings of words or do you prefer to continue on with your own interpretations?
what speaks to me, is what scripture actually states...we renew our minds when we agree with what the word states
we do not renew scripture with what we state and sanctification is a process while you are still alive and kicking on Terra
it seems you are living in the make believe land of sinless perfectionism.
yeah. the Holy Spirit is not going to teach me what you believe.
Also, such doctrine might be used as an excuse to not heed the voice of the Holy Spirit when He wants to sanctify you in a certain area of your life;
Since if that area of your life is the only thing left in you that is a sin, for you to surrender that to the Lord would mean entire sanctification...but if you believe that this is not possible, then you will not even believe in the ability of the Lord to deal with that sin and to cleanse it from your life (however, see 1 John 1:7,9).
In that case your title should be changed, since no one teaches this:

"sinless perfection"" is a misnomer that is often applied to the doctrine of entire sanctification as a straw man that is easily toppled by 1 John 1:8.
However, the doctrine of entire sanctification, does not claim that sin is eradicated, so that we might be without sin; rather, it states that the element of sin can be rendered dead within us (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Romans 7:8) so that it no longer has any say over our behaviour (Romans 6:14).
Thus, there is no contradiction between 1 John 1:8 and a literal interpretation of 1 John 3:5-9.
Then there would be no need for the Resurrection/Rapture in which the saints are perfected and glorified.

That entire sanctification is possible in this life is clear to me when I read 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (kjv), Hebrews 10:14 (kjv), 1 John 3:9 (kjv); 1 John 3:6, 1 John 2:17; 1 John 3:7, 1 John 3:3, 1 John 2:6; Jude 1:24, 2 Peter 1:10, and 1 John 2:10.
Some people do not attain to entire sanctification in this life; which does not exclude them from the salvation of the Lord.
Being sanctified wholly is a "second benefit" (2 Corinthians 1:15).

You assume that I am not preaching that entire sanctification comes through faith in the blood of Jesus, as does justification.
All writers were carnal. The Bible is the inspired Word of God as in the Spirit moved in imperfect people for example, King David and his affair then murder.
Paul was writing to the Roman churches so his letter was not to the carnal even though it may speak to the carnal.
Well I have yet to see such sinless perfection in anyone's life but Jesus.
All scripture must harmonize and I do not see sinless perfection being on part of man's works. I see it being paid and freed from. But not totally eradicated from the flesh.
