I have noticed of late that there are pretrib rapture adherents that do not know what the rapture is.

It is the gathering of the bride (not the church) by the groom

It is NOT ANYTHING ELSE.

Get that into your spirit and mind.

Laugh this off;

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

The GROOM USES THE LAST SENTENCES of the bible in agreement with the bride calling for the groom.

No postrib rapture adherent will ever initiate that.

They abhor any such notion

You chose wrong.

You chose to go against the bride and the groom.

You, CV5, TDW, stillLearning and the others are an excellent example of:

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, (1)but according to their own desires,
(2)because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
and they will (3)turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Now is the time to turn away from the error you and the others are over your heads in = turn back to the Truth.

Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

I love those verses.

Good verses.

Maybe do more of that as i have demonstrated..
Much better than trying to smear solid bible doctrine.

The bride is within the church.

Also within the church are carnal nominal pew sitters not serious about their walk. They are saved, but carnal.

They are those paul says "some are saved as through fire, they are saved but their works are burned up"

We are family = most all of the church.

The bride is the worthy ones in the rapture.

In both escape verses only the worthy ones are raptured.

" pray that you may be counted worthy...."

" because you have kept my word, i will also keep you..."

Both departures imply some are not worthy/ left behind.

Both lot and noah had extended family left behind and judged.

In the rapture those left behind are beheaded. They still get to heaven.

This is a good example of misapplying Scripture in order to promote an agenda. How can it be claimed that anyone is "adding" to Scripture if there is an actual doctrine which is found in the Bible? I have already shown you that the doctrine of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture was first announced by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself just before His crucifixion. So what you have been doing for quite a while is SUBTRACTING from the Bible and making Christ a liar.

You have quoted 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 several times without any indication that you even know what is presented there. So kindly stop posting the passages about adding and subtracting to the Word of God until you truly understand what exactly is being said.

People who attack this doctrine generally have no clue about its significance in God's plan of salvation. They have been influenced by some naysayers who also had no clue about this teaching. But anyone who is serious about understanding spiritual things will be eager to search out all the passages relating to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture as well as the passages regarding the Tribulation (and why it has no relationship to the Resurrection/Rapture).

You will also hear this lame excuse that the word "rapture" is not found in the Bible. Neither is the word "trinity" and neither is the word "deity". So what? These words have acquired very specific meanings and should be accepted for what they are.

It never ceases to amaze me that TDW's posts are not being filed into your spiritual/mental library. Opinions aside....there are a ton of useful facts therein. BTW....he is right as far as doctrine goes. Why you cannot see this is astounding to me.

I can get where he is coming from and still would be the church as well as the bride. We know in 2 Thess it says that day will not come unless there come a falling away first. First church Christ addresses is Ephesus and he says remember from where you are fallen, they had left their first love and we know Christ told them he would remove their candlestick.

Over the next churches we see how Christ, points out their problems and where they are out of alignment. Culminating at Laodicea who he says they are not hot or cold so he will vomit them out. They are useless cause that message was already explained in the gospels. Christ said if the salt is not fit for the land and is not fit for the dunghill it is cast out, he that has a ear let him hear.

So where we know that Christ is coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle. James 1:2-4 says, My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

So where we would find that would be the church of Philadelphia as well as the others in the various churches he has mentioned they have not defiled their garments, those who do not hold to the doctrine of Balaam or the Nicolaitans, those who do not hold to Jezebels doctrine. He is calling these Christians the bride so is the same language, because they are the same the church and the bride and more so who Christ comes back for.

Brother Nehimiah6, Peace to you in Christ and in the Holy Spirit.

You have not brought forth any such scripture whereby 'pre-trib rapture' has come out of the Mouth of God.

You seek to add to God's words in John 14: 1-4
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

This passage of scripture does not speak of any pre-trib rapture whatsoever - this adding to God's words.

By the words of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT = It is IMPOSSIBLE for a pre-trib rapture -
Anyone who makes such a claim is speaking falsehood against the SPIRIT of TRUTH and the words of Christ.

The LORD says: These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

The HOLY SPIRIT says: And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying,
“We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.

The LORD and the HOLY SPIRIT said: I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance that are in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and my testimony about Jesus. On the Lord’s day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,

These are just THREE Scripture passages that bear witness to the TRUTH and are a clear warning and rebuke to any and all who seek to prophesy a falsehood.

Turn away from falsehood and submit your mind and heart fully unto God and He will Lift you UP from the carnal mind of man.

Our LORD does not want you or anyone to be held accountable for speaking a falsehood against HIM and HIS Words.

(1) And to wait for his Son from heaven, (2) whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, (3) which delivered us from the wrath to come.
1 Thessalonians 1:10

1.) wait for the Coming of the LORD
2.) the RESURRECTION
3.) Deliverance from His wrath

the Apostle Paul certifies before God this Order as he states it emphatically again:

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

After that we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Different reference to a tribulation...not a reference to THE TRIBULATION. Keep it in context. That is apparent by the words.... ten days.
THE TRIBULATION will last for years...no days.

The point is using something in one letter is meaningless when opposite is said in another letter. Even if the passage you quoted is rapture, that's one church out of 7 which would leave the majority of church going through the great tribulation.

You pretribs need to start saying 1/7th of the church is raptured if you insist that verse is the rapture.

No "pre-tribber" disagrees with this.

I've pointed out how even the Thessalonians (2Th4:1) were experiencing "persecutions and tribulations YE ENDURE"

Ever wonder why it says "through MANY" rather than "through ALL tribulations"?? ;)

The LORD and the HOLY SPIRIT said: I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance that are in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and my testimony about Jesus. On the Lord’s day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,
So... even in 2Cor1:4 and 7:4 it states "in all the tribulation OF US"

"The Church which is His body" has experienced this all throughout its entire existence on the earth SINCE THE FIRST CENTURY (Eph1:20-23 WHEN [as to its existence]).

We are not waiting for "the future 7-yr period" IN ORDER to EXPERIENCE IT.

But this still does not prove that WE ("the Church WHICH IS HIS BODY") are slated to be IN and A PART OF that "future [SPECIFIC] 7-yr period," see.

These are just THREE Scripture passages that bear witness to the TRUTH and are a clear warning and rebuke to any and all who seek to prophesy a falsehood.

It seems you are wanting to equate the word "FIRST [adverb; G4412]" in this 1Th4:13-18 passage to the word "FIRST [adjective; G4413] in Rev20:5,6 (in which verses, by the way, are NOT conveying, "this is the first time in the chronology that saints will have been resurrected" [as you insist it's conveying!]... NO!...

...because the "2W" will have been resurrected from the dead at the "6th Trumpet [events] / 2nd Woe" time-slot, at a point in time COMPLETELY DISTINCT from the point in time that those "beheaded saints" [of the 2nd half of the Trib yrs] will be resurrected, 20:4b at the END of the Trib);

...but this is problematic for your "post-trib rapture" viewpoint in another way... because you must also disregard another "FIRST" word (which DOES happen at that time-slot), "[will be said to the angels/reapers] Gather/Collect ye FIRST [adverb; G4412] the TARES" (Matt13:30... from a passage [vv.24,30,39,40,49-50] which corresponds with Matt24:3 and Jesus' 2-chpt RESPONSE [chpts 24&25]);

...and in this Matt13:30 context, "the righteous" do not LIFT OFF THE EARTH (whereas it is the "TARES" which are "gathered OUT"!!)

Maybe I can offer help here;...The Bible speaks of many different anti-christs....such as...a non believer is anti christ
A person working against the Christian doctrine is...an anti-christ, et al.

The Bible speaks of....THE antichrist .....as being the one different from all others.
lol
The ac kills all refusing the mark.

That alone leaves postribs in the desert
according to scripture some willbe alive when he comes:
“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”
