John - but God limited man to 120 yrs and this was before the Law - also it was only a rumor which the Lord confirmed
brings us back to Enoch and Elijah who, as yet. has not witnessed death
Enoch has the UPPER HAND (pun intended) over all rivals - walked with God, before He was taken by God, he was taken up into the heavens a number of times and spoke face to face with angels and God also spoke to Him (not face to face) and instructed Him what to say to the angels. Then He was gone for God took Him.
Simply put - Enoch was a clear Picture of Christ without the suffering Servant part, as far as we know.

what book do we all read to learn, and tells us about all the other prospects for the title of the TWO WITNESS.
I learnt about GOD's Love and how mankind & the angels abused it. in the OLD testament
I learnt about how I can change that, in my life, and was given a living example to follow, in the NEW testament.

but they aren't here to witness from or to, none of them are except the TESTAMENT's the name even suggest it
Read Rev ch11 again - it is clear that there are two physical bodies in physical Jerusalem on earth where, at the end of their ministry the fallen angel from the Abyss, will kill them. Then after 3.5 days they come alive and back on their feet.
Enoch was before the Law as was Melchezidek = They were given a far Greater Annointing and Understanding then Moses and the Law
So Enoch is a witness of the NT for the Covenant of Grace was BEFORE the Law, and Elijah of the OT.
The OT and the NT are still here on earth witnessing around the world -
The Jews are the witness of the Law in this aspect = Jeremiah 31:35-37
The witness of Salvation is only with His Body who cover the earth in fulfillment of Matthew 24:14
The Law is limited in that it cannot Save anyone and therefore is limited to the Jews who are in darkness and bondage with it.
GRACE is the Witness of LIFE and that LIFE is in His Son and the Son's Bride = His Elect/the Saints = Revelation 22:17
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Let the one who hears say, “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come, and the one who desires the water of life drink freely.
so did those two die and come back to life ?...not recorded in the bible
Enoch went to GOD and never came back so how can he be a witness, I didn't learn anything from Enoch
and who told you about Enoch and Elijah, were did you read about them, cause the knowledge of them did not magically appear in your mind.....we are told of their faith through something...what can that be?
Precisely the point Enoch and Elijah did not come back (Yet)
The spirit of Elijah was upon John the Baptist and therefore the Lord said: this is Elijah who was to come
There are Two comings of Elijah just as there are Two Comings of the Lord
The Lord Jesus Christ new about Enoch and there is the Book of Enoch.
Enoch and Elijah are in the Scriptures
Not very much said about Enoch except in the Book of Enoch which i have not read fully.
Jude quotes from Enoch and i believe the Lord did also.
Elijah had to face Jezebel but ran.
but you said the witnesses died and came back to life...remember.....post 209....that didn't happen with these two
you said they died for 3 1/2 days and came back to life....they have both been gone for centuries, the 3 1/2 days since they passed is well and truly over but they haven't been seen
In Revelation chapter 11 - the Two Witnesses are killed by the Beast from the Abyss and their bodies are left on the streets to decay as the world throws a big party over their deaths. 3.5 days later they live again

What are you seeing as maybe we are thinking two different scenarios?
No I think its our understanding of the prophecy, ...which has to be seen through a prophetic and literal eye....our history books add to the required knowledge of understanding this intriguing subject.......have a look at what the root cause of the DARK AGE's was and who caused it and why.......trust me your eyes will be opened.
this subject intertwines with the anti-Christ
no I can't do that, then you will only have my word for it...better to discover for yourself...when you do then our conversations will be more powerful... everything that comes after will only strengthen us all......the anti-Christ has a'lot to do with proving the two witnesses.

Yeah I think that's what he means. It's Preterism and likely has to do with Catholic church. Might be an SDA type of thing, not sure.
The two witnesses and their 1260 days is not something from the past.
Some guy came on one of the threads last week claiming the Resurrection of the dead already occurred.
I posted 2 Timothy 2:16-18 and he said that it does not apply because it already occured as well.
