Scripture cannot lie - Truth only exists in the Eternal God, the Word and the Holy Spirit.

This concept was first established in Genesis and continues through to Revelation.

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit hidden in plain sight in Scripture. The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are One.

Can you find them? I give you one here as an example to start your quest.
You can start anywhere you like from Genesis to Revelation.

Evidence- Acts 4:8-12
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being examined today about a kind service to a man who was lame, to determine how he was healed, then let this be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
This Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’
Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

All Three Persons of the Godhead present in one unseparable/undividable Scripture.

If you are in Christ then You're UP - Go for it.

Hello @DavidTree, that's an excellent passage from Acts! Thanks :)

As for my entry into this thread, I might as well go with the opening Chapter of Genesis.

Genesis 1
26 God [אֱלֹהִים /ʾelohiym] said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 God [אֱלֹהִים /ʾelohiym] created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
God bless you!

AMEN - Three times in one sentence = Us, Our and Our

What about this: man, image, likeness

Could man here also be a prophecy of the coming of "the Word became flesh" and Hebrews - He is the express Image of God and what Scripture would you associate to "likeness"?

Personally, I am a non-Trinitarian.
Neither am i - i am just a believer in "every word that proceeds from the Mouth of God" Matt 4:4

What is a Trinitarian? Does it come from Trinadad? or Tri-na-dad?

Jesus said to the Pharisees, Abraham rejoiced to see His day, the Pharisees couldn't believe He had seen Abraham, then Jesus referred to being there BEFORE Abraham, as the great I AM!

Excellent, now find where all Three: Father, Son and Holy Spirit in one passage or sentence.

You stated Jesus as the IAM - awesome - quickly now, go to Exodus 3: 14-15 and post back here what you see there.

Here's one that's pretty well-known :)

Matthew 28
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name* of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

God bless you!

~Deut

*Interestingly, ὄνομα (translated as "name" in v19 above) is singular, which means that the (singular) "name" of God is, "the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit", in this case.

Do you know where in Scripture God first declares His name in Three Persons?

This may be helpful, not only with where the word Trinity originates, but as a reminder that the triune nature of the Godhead is a Biblical "mystery" (which means that it is something that we cannot explain, at least not on this side of the grave anyway, but that we, nevertheless, hold as true, because the Bible tells us that it is).

This is, in fact, the reason that the church formulated the doctrine of the Trinity (to define what the Godhead is, precisely, and so that all can know exactly what the Bible has to say about the nature of the Godhead).

The historic formulation of the Trinity (derived from the Latin word trinitas, meaning “threeness”) seeks to circumscribe and safeguard this mystery (not explain it; that is beyond us). ~Packer, J. I. (1993). Concise theology: a guide to historic Christian beliefs

Off-hand, I do not, so I'll have to get back to you later (or wait for someone else to answer ;)).
i am the type that likes a challenge and find things out myself - but i do love clues so here is one for you:
Genesis has the Three but they are not officially declared until there is a fire starter later on in a following Book.

Part of it is the "This is My Son, in whom I am well pleased" Matt 3:17. For me it is plain as day, and not worth quarrelling over. It is discouraging that people get so heated about it. Didn't people murder each other in the middle ages over it? No I am not going to toil over the proof on an issue of questionable value.

The Bible does mention Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

But riddle me this for I would like to understand.

1. In the Old Testament Adam was made in the image of God.

In the New Testament Adam was made in the figure of Him to come who is Jesus.

The image of God is the image of Christ.

Which means God had the plan to come in the future in flesh before He created Adam and Eve and created Adam in that image.

That means let us make man in our image has to include the man Christ Jesus for He is part of that image.

So is there a trinity or is the Let us make man in our image God and the man Christ Jesus.

2. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans in the book of Acts were all baptized in Jesus' name.

In the Old Testament God said He would reveal a new name to the Jews and speak to them.

Jesus said He came in the name of the Father.

Hebrews says the Son inherited the name from the Father.

John says the Holy Spirit comes in the name of Jesus.

So is there a trinity or is Jesus the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

3. Jesus told the disciples that when He resurrects to heaven to not ask Him anything but only ask the Father and He will do it.

But in another passage of scripture Jesus said when He resurrects to heaven to ask Him and He will do it.

Is there a trinity or is Jesus our Father.

4. The Bible says to the saints there is but one God, the Father, and in another place one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Why does the Bible only attribute the Father as being God.

Is there a trinity or is there only one God the Father.

I believe there is one God who is a Holy Spirit which is why the Spirit moved in creation, and Jesus was conceived by the Spirit, and the Spirit dwells in the saints.

And the Son is the man Christ Jesus, and Father is a title for God.

So, what would you do with the likes of me? Burn me at the stake with a nail in my tongue? Perhaps you'd rather tar and feather me? or perhaps you'd like to pull me member from member with horses? What is wrong with you? Can you not love another enough to allow them to have their own opinion? All those things I mention are in the historical record.

Agree, we should not get heated, angry or forceful.
i love discovery and nothing better then to discover what God has told us is true., thus the reason for this thread.
This is not about a certain religion or church belonging. We are seeking Truth only from Scripture.

Dwell on this: Genesis - "Let Us make man in Our Image according to Our Likeness"

Who are These "Us" and "Our" ???

One God in Three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - How can this be??? Man cannot fathom but we are told it is by the Word.
You said something very important:
"In the Old Testament Adam was made in the image of God.
In the New Testament Adam was made in the figure of Him to come who is Jesus.
The image of God is the image of Christ.
Which means God had the plan to come in the future in flesh before He created Adam and Eve and created Adam in that image.
That means let us make man in our image has to include the man Christ Jesus for He is part of that image."

This is accurate and true - but it does not say Christ was created, rather it is Prophecy that when Christ comes in the flesh His Image is God. How else could Jesus say "If you have seen Me you have seen the Father"
