even so? DavidTree: what do you think of those words in context?
Exactly what it says - God will bring with our Lord Jesus Christ the entire Body of Christ, the Saints, who have died in Christ and whose Spirits are seen in the book of Revelation, in Heaven with Him now.

And not just those, but all who will die in Him unto His Second Coming.

AMEN AMEN AMEN - HALLELUJAH - VICTORY
Praise be to God for He has Redeemed us from sin and death and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

DavidTree Even so! Some would say that's an exspression of doubt!,,a hesitation.,,Why interject that?

What did Jesus say to the Pharisees about their abuse of Scripture? Do you remember?

Woe to you pharisees...Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

Splitting hairs does not change the Scripture - focus on what God does say, not what He did not say.

He did that already
But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. 2 Timothy 2:16-18

2 Timothy 2:16-18 was written circa ad 50... almost 2,000 years ago. The ENTIRE Bible was written within a period of 1,500 years. 2 Timothy was written by a man named Paul, to a man named Timothy 2,000 years ago. Not from God to us, or even from Paul to us. There WERE some who were in error AT THAT TIME who said that the resurrection was past. The scripture is correct. But that *does not mean* that it has *any* application for today.

He forgave me the moment I knew I was helpless and told Him that I believed Him.

That has nothing to do with a yet purported future coming.
Do you not believe the entire Bible?

Paul was more then a man, dear friend - He was the Lord's Apostle and as such was given authority from our Lord Jesus Christ which you, nor i, have to 'add to or take away from Scripture'.

Since you are seeking to 'add to and take away from God's word', most especially on the Resurrection, this would make you a false apostle.

The entire was written for us. That's why it wound up in the Cannon. I suppose you don't believe in the resurrection of the dead or the rapture either.

How am I adding or taking away from God's word? If you agree that ALL of scripture is inspired (as I do as well), then read this

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Those two verses are JUST as important as those in the rest of the book. Scripture must be held in context. Context is everything. Otherwise, it is subject to the whims and agendas of individuals.

I do believe in the resurrection of the dead. I do not believe in the "rapture", if what you are referring to is the dispensational doctrine. I do believe in the "rapture" as was intended and is exegetically honest with the text (being "caught up" spiritually).

No, context is not everything and that leads to more error. Context is not the Holy Spirit and not Word is not limited to context.

Scripture was written for all who would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ - Read John 17 and Believe His Word.

I've read it myself, here; 1 Corinth 15:13 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is worthless, and so is your faith.…

Rev 20:4-6
4Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years were complete. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.…
